Thursday’s recap bring us the killer B’s… Bryant and the Bears.
No not Bear Bryant… the famed Alabama coach. And not those other Killer Bees; remember that wrestling tag team. Back then there were some awesome tag teams: the British Bulldogs, the Hart Foundation, Road Warriors, Brutus Beefcake and Greg the Hammer, I’m sure I’m missing more. Today’s tag team is Kris Bryant and our Chicago Bears.
All Bryant did was go 5-5. He did that earlier in the year when he was the first player to ever hit 3 HRs and 2 doubles in a game against Cincinnati. This time the other cellar dweller in the NL Central was the victim, although the Reds have been one of the hottest teams in baseball lately. The Brewers have not. The Cubs took 4 straight and sent them back north licking their wounds. Kris was locked in.
It’s scary when he locks in… it’s happened a few times this year. Whether it was for a single game, or for a bunch of games in a row, he certainly does lock in from time to time. I love when he works that at bat, stays patient, and makes that pitcher come to him. He’s got a really good eye at the plate, and gets annoyed when the umpire clearly doesn’t know the strike zone as good as he does. A lot of the Cubs have that trait of knowing the zone.
Today, LCD TVs viagra in are becoming very popular with the male population. If it doesn’t work at first, increase your dose generic levitra over here slowly, one pill per meal, and evaluate it for at least 4 months to get optimum effects. Aside from skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most necessary game for all human body as the branded levitra 10 mg is doing. Extreme consumption of alcohol, chronic smoking, diabetes, atherosclerosis, etc. free tadalafil sample forms some of the general reasons of such output on the life of intimacy. Bryant put in his vote for MVP on this day, just as Rizzo had done a couple days earlier. What a one two punch these guys are. What I want to see is them locked in this postseason; if that happens, good things will result. I still lean to Bryant as the better player though. With his speed on the basepaths and ability to play multiple positions… well… he gets the nod. Although I’d have to rank Anthony as 1A.
On to the Bears for a quick sec… I didn’t watch any of the game because it’s preseason, and if you’ve ever read what I have to say about preseason, you know the only way I’ll watch is if nothing else is going on, and these days, that is pretty rare. They practiced all week with the Patriots before playing them on Thursday. Bunch of fights broke out… same as what happened when the Bears were practiced against each other. I have to admit, that once I heard them fighting with the Pats, my interest was piqued. So yeah, I did listen to some Bears talk this week; I didn’t change the station.
I like that fight in them. It’s been something that’s been lacking, especially during the Trestman years. And another thing, I really dislike the Pats. How lucky did they get with Brady and Belicheck? And then they have to cheat on top of that. I think I actually was pulling for them against the Seahawks in the Super Bowl because I didn’t like Carroll, but never again. Well, never say never, but I do know this; I’m sick of them, and sick of seeing them win. Enough of that already. Thankfully, I do have a glorious memory of the Pats getting pounded back in Super Bowl XX; I like to think of the Pats like they were back then.
But no looking back… too much going on… still have some catching up to do. Cubs are the best team in baseball; the world is good. Headed to the Rocky Mountains for 3 against the Rockies to start a 9 game road trip. I’m ready for some late night games next week. Let’s go Cubs!

Bryant going 5for5 again…wow! This kid is awesome. If he and rizzo can lock in during the playoffs, I do not see the Cubs losing. As good as the pitching has been, if the Cubs offense is just as good, teams are and have been in trouble. sWeep you very much brew crew. Time to hit the rockies and stay hot! GO CUBS GO!!!
