August 17, 2017: Waiting For It

posted in: Cubs | 1

How long did you have to wait for it?  Maybe it was about four and a half years.  Maybe it was just a bit over forty. Maybe it was 90+ years.  To say we have been patiently waiting for it, would have been an understatement.

Our patience finally paid off in November of 2016.  The Cubs did it, and damn right, I will mention it and discuss it in detail whenever the hell I please.  We are still in our defending champs mode; we should all get at least a year to enjoy it however we want, no?  Cubs fans are all band wagoners.  Wrong.  Cubs fans have become more annoying now that they’ve won; maybe some of us.  So we were better when we were losers?

I don’t get it, and I don’t care.  2016 will forever be the year for us as Cubs fans.  And if you liked us better when we were the Loveable losers, then I don’t know what to tell you.  We are them no more.  We are the best.  We were the best in 2016, and carry that title until somebody else wins that trophy with all the flags on there.  Doesn’t it seem like a lot of people can’t wait until that happens?

To me it does.  Screw the national media, who cares what they think one way or another.  But it’s the local media, whether in print or on the radio, that seem like they can’t wait to see the Cubs lose again.  Maybe it’s just me, but they too hate seeing us happy.  They get annoyed with their peers in the city who have been soaking up this moment too.  They’re sick of hearing how great the plan was, and how great Theo is, or Joe, or the young talent filled roster that the Cubs have built which makes them a threat to win it all for years to come.  I don’t know…I feel that though.

TRIBULUS – This is known as quite a potent herb, when low price cialis combined with L’arginine, improves erectile dysfunction. It has been effective and safe levitra sale http://amerikabulteni.com/category/haberler/mansetler-haberler/page/79/ for almost men with erectile dysfunction. It helps the blood to flow properly to the penis which makes the persons erections stronger and better than before. cialis online store viagra ordination But these pills are of very high reputation as its effectiveness is very high. We can expect that from Sox fans, employees, and even their owner.  They wish 2016 never happened.  It annoys Hawk so much that he continues to open his mouth about Wrigley Field.  Shut up old man.  If you don’t like watching baseball in the best place to watch baseball on earth, I don’t know what to tell you.  But it gets Sox fans excited, especially those who say they will never set foot in that baseball cathedral.  You don’t know what you’re missing.  And then the owner does an interview…  I don’t want to be alive to see the Cubs win another….something like that.  I read through that article.  Besides not caring what he said about the Sox, as he talked up the rebuild, took accountability for the zero encore to 2005 to this point, and how Ozzie will never be back, not once did he mention his other team.  All of Reinsdorf’s attention and focus is squarely on the White Sox.  Great for Sox fans as long as their buying it.  Horrible for all of us Bulls fans, which while he was at it, should have owned up to that train wreck too.

It kills me though; not like painful, but like gets me annoyed.  We already know how that other population of fans are in the city, but the media too?  Maybe that’s where their allegiances lie.  Maybe they never liked the Cubs in the first place.  Maybe they’re just sick of all the hype around 2016, us finally seeing it, and the talk of this being just the start.  They just can’t wait to second guess and jump on anything negative, seemingly wanting to push for that Cubs’ demise to happen.  Whether it’s the Sun Times running a back page cover that said Loveable Losers after the All Star game loss or folks ripping the Cubs after every bad loss, enough already.

Yeah, it’s been a struggle.  Yes, making the playoffs is not guaranteed like we thought.  Yes, how can you not like the Dodgers to win it all.  All that is true, but so what?  I can’t speak for all Cubs fans, but I’m still enjoying every minute of it.  Cubs are still on top of the division regardless.  They still could be dangerous in October.  They still may repeat.  So pump those brakes…and wait for it.  You may have to wait for that demise a little longer.  Stick it to them boys.  Go Cubs!!!

The waiting game. Patience was needed in abundance for Cubs fans until it finally paid off last year. Now, all the Cubs haters and critics can practice some patience and keep waiting for the Cubs demise. So many people enjoyed the hell out of the Cubs being losers. Now, they cant stand that the Cubs did it and are poised to be damn good for a long while. Keep drinkin that haterade. Yes, this year is different so far. Yes, the Cubs have had some bad moments. Yes, the nl central is still up for grabs. Yes, the Cubs are still the World Champs! Haters gonna hate. Hawk needs to retire in lovely guranteed rate field…bury his ass in the outfield already. Reinsdork talking up his baby sox and taking shots at the Cubs. Seems like you got a whole lot more to worry about jerry. Enjoy your last few years peacefully, please, and do something about the Bulls! The media is negative for a reason. Too many people are. Keep it positive people. Not a Cubs fan? Sick of hearing about 2016? You are experiencing one year of the Cubs being Champs while us fans experienced how many years of bashing while losing? Yeah, forgive me if I dont give a ****. The struggle is real this year. The lala team looks unbeatable. Blah blah blah. I am still basking in the glory of being World Series Champs. I am enjoying the Cubs leading the nl central. I am excited about making the postseason for a 3rd straight season, and I sure as hell know that the Cubs can repeat. Keep waiting for that shoe to drop haters, sometimes it never does! GO CUBS GO!!!
