Like the Blackhawks, the Bulls are confusing me. Unlike the Blackhawks, I am happily confused with the Bulls. The Bulls just beat the #1 seed Celtics to go up two games to none in their first round best of seven series. What gives?
I didn’t watch every single Bulls game this year, but I watched a lot. The Bulls look like a different team out there right now. This is not the team that I rode the roller coaster with all year long. This is not the team that I grew to hate during the regular season. This is not the most underperforming team in the NBA any longer. What happened?
Well, it looks like they finally WANT to play. One of the issues I had with this team during the season, was that they didn’t look like they wanted it. They didn’t play with any fire… seemingly had no motivation to play well on a consistent basis. Yes, we had the Raptors and the TNT games, but other than every once in a while, this Bulls team played like crap. They were the truest definition of a 500 team, just as their record indicated. You win some, you lose some, but never anything that we could count on. The ONLY thing we could count on was being frustrated.
Now, the Bulls play two of their best games of the year to start the playoffs. I’m not complaining. I’m just confused. Watching Game 2, I saw a team that looked hungry; never could I say that during the regular season. I saw a team that looked excited; that would be one of the last words I would use to describe the regular season Bulls. I saw a team that looked like they actually liked playing with each other… with everyone on the court and on the bench supporting each other… cheering each other on. Who are these guys?

Sometimes, this compromise does not go for a school that goes on the far viagra generic cialis aspect personal financial reach. I like them again. I guess all it took was some space, like some relationships. I started to distance myself a bit from these frustrating Bulls during the end of the season… choosing not to watch as closely as I did earlier in the season; I had seen everything I needed to see from this squad. Now, watching them again, it’s like watching a new team; I gave the Bulls some space, and they came back a better team. Now, we can try to be happy going forward.
I have always supported them… and always will. They are MY team. But, you know what I mean… it was hard to watch. They were the team that I screamed at the TV watching. The relationship went through a definite rough patch. Not to say we’re completely through this… I think we have a little bit to go there, but it feels good to see the Bulls playing hard again. It feels good to be happy watching the Bulls. The Bulls picked the best time to play their best basketball.
But, it’s only 2 games. Heck, I’ll throw my reverse psychology out the window. I think the Bulls can and will beat the Celtics, who look everything but a number one seed; we know how that feels. It feels like the Bulls will win a playoff series, the most unlikely of series wins. Then what?
Let’s hope we have to worry about that. The Bulls come home after playing their best basketball; is it sustainable? Should we get REALLY excited about this? Who knows and who cares. We need this. We need to see playoff wins, since the team we thought would be providing those has come up empty thus far. The Bulls are coming up big right on time. It’s fun to watch basketball again. Let’s hope it lasts. Go Bulls!

It was fun while it lasted.

Who would have thunk it? Bulls win both games in boston to go up 2-0. They look like a completely different team than they did in the regular season. The way they have played, they only showed flashes of in a few games all year. Now, they sit up 2-0 vs the top seed…go figure. What can we expect in game 3 at the UC? Your guess is as good as mine. Will this play continue or will they revert back to regular season form? It would be nice to knock out the celts and unexpectedly move on to round 2. It would be nice to ride the momentum wave and be dangerous in these playoffs. It would be nice to see this good play consistently. Happily confused is a great term…here’s hoping to continue that!
GO BULLS!!!
