I happened to flip on NBA TV the other day, and lo and behold, Isiah Thomas was on there… great. I was about to immediately change channels, but he was talking about this kid from Chicago… I think from the Pacers; this was after their game in New York against the Knicks. He was talking him up… I remembered for a second that Isiah is from Chicago, and that I typically like all guys from Chicago… always support them. Is Isiah making me like him a bit now? Then I saw a couple days later on Twitter, him talking up Lebron Blames as the GOAT… now I remember why I can’t stand this hater… as if he would ever say MJ was the greatest, although I’m sure there’s stuff out there where he has; whatever way the wind blows Isiah… once a chump always a chump.
The Bulls hosted the Pistons on Tuesday night at the UC, which served as a good prep/scrimmage for the next couple games coming up this week. I saw the line before the game… -13.5… and thought, yeah, the Bulls could spank the Pistons even with their 2nd string. And they did… man did they. The Bulls kicked the ever living crap out of the Pistons; all these years later, it still brings an extra little bit of satisfaction. Sure, the Bad Boys are long gone, dispatched by Jordan after years of torment, but… it’s still the Pistons. I like some of their young players, including the kid that chased after LBJ after he elbowed him in the face. He’d look nice in our frontcourt… I don’t mind them for the most part, but… seeing the Bulls beat them down was great; the Bulls could do that to a lot of teams nowadays.

9pm start time tonight by the way, to accommodate the national TV schedule; it’s the latest start time I can ever remember at the UC. Guess that’s why I got an email that all food in the UC is half price between 730-900pm tonight. Normally, lately, I would struggle to stay up to finish the game, but now… I’m feeling ready to go. Started watching The Wire for the first time, and started re-watching the Sopranos, so I’ve been up a bit later than normal lately; guess that’s why I have to knock out for about 10-15 minutes after dinner to square things up. Don’t think any progress will be made in either show tonight, but making it to the end of tonight’s game… it’s in the bank; hopefully a victory will be too. Let’s do it; Go Bulls!!!
