November 21, 2021: Wake Me When It’s Over

Got the good news driving home from church: Lamar Jackson would be out today vs the Bears. Surely, the Bears can win this game now, right? Welcome to the newest installation of games the Bears should have won.

I was tired, and watching this game, was the perfect formula to put me asleep. My son, watching the game with me, but really playing his football video game on his iPad, kept waking me up in the 2nd quarter. I’m sorry, I couldn’t stay up. This game was about as boring as it gets, which didn’t help. I kept trying to tell my son let me nap… but just before halftime, I was up. He wanted snacks. OK, guess I’m going to be up for the 2nd half. I should have just told him wake me when it’s over. I may have been happier right now.

Grapes, donut holes, and trail mix was the ticket. Of course, this Bears loss wouldn’t just be a loss; we would lose Justin Fields. On a play where he clearly should have dumped the ball off, he took off up field, and was tackled… apparently hurting his ribs? Hopefully it’s not too serious, but with a Turkey Day date at Detroit on Thursday, I imagine we won’t see him until the following week. That meant the return of the Red Rifle, who of course, immediately threw a TD pass to give us the lead. But don’t get too excited; it was a screen pass that Mooney took to the house. Still, the Bears were winning, and that’s OK with me.

I feared that my order cialis canada current search would also be well aware that the problem has all the concerns with the sexual health of a man.

Then of course we had the call of the game from Nagy on a 4th and 1 at midfield. After the fans were booing him, Romo was for some reason pushing him, and apparently he lost communication on his headset, Nagy ended up calling a timeout before dialing up the 4th and 1 call from hell. This is going well. First off, don’t always listen to the fans; I like to be aggressive, but this one was a pretty clear cut punt. Secondly, there’s a reason Romo is in the booth and not coaching somewhere. Thirdly, an equipment malfunction? You can’t make this shit up. Maybe he explained it postgame; I don’t care to listen to any of that. Finally, the play call? I got nothing man. Everybody is still calling for Nagy’s head; at this point, I really don’t care.

Yet, the Bears appeared to pull this game from the burning dumpster with a 4th down bomb for a TD with a little more than a minute left. Then the defense let us down again, allowing this first time QB to lead a game winning drive for the Ravens. This is so fun.

I don’t know; kind of disgusted at this point. The Bears are 3-7, they’ve lost 5 in a row, our rookie QB is hurt… what else can go wrong? Tune in on Thursday when the Bears will ruin our Thanksgiving Day dinner allowing Detroit to win their first game of the season. I can see it now…
