I don’t need to translate what this means, do I? Yeah, the top dogs of the Cubbie food chain have been talking, and not sure about you, but I ain’t buying any of it. First Jed, now Tom… straight shoveling it; it’s funny how people actually believe the shit their shoveling… I sure don’t.

Jed Hoyer gets on the radio the Monday morning after the massacre and infers that fair deals were made to the big 3, that they didn’t counter, which means they really didn’t want to be here any more; really? Well, Rizzo came back and basically said there is one thing in common with all of these “negotiations”… I get it; breaking up is hard to do. There will most certainly be two perspectives on the subject(s) at hand; two perspectives that are so different that something can not be worked out. Although there are certainly multiple ways to view things, and most definitely multiple ways to spin things, there is only one truth… although even that could be argued. But if you believe that these guys didn’t want to be Cubs, I got to tell you, I am not buying it.

Let’s start with the guy who actually said something about it, even if it wasn’t so combative. You’re going to tell me Anthony Rizzo didn’t want to be a Cub for life? Now maybe you want to tell me that Rizzo wanted to get paid fairly to be a Cub for life; now THAT is something I can believe. He had been underpaid, but you never heard anything about that, did you? Now, he wanted to get paid more fairly, and the Cubs lowballed him… plain and simple. I hope he absolutely goes off with the Yankees; I hope all the guys that got dumped do awesome. You see, this just proves my theory, especially about Anthony. All this non-commitment type shit from the organization who you delivered the holy grail to was weighing on his mind; it was impacting his performance… you can’t tell me otherwise. Sure, I don’t doubt he has back issues, which COULD end up being serious at some point, and maybe if THAT was the reason Jed stated, MAYBE I could see some of that, and surely that was part of it, right? Still, he is a star player; he was our unofficial captain. And you low-balled him Jed… now you know why I picked the title of this blog.

And KB??? I haven’t dove into too much detail about KB and Javy, both of whom are fabulous players in their own right. In fact, I would argue Bryant was our BEST player; you can’t build around that? How old is he? Here’s a former rookie of the year, MVP, World Series Champion, who plays multiple positions, that we didn’t want to keep? F off Jed… and you too Tom. And then Javy? One of the most electric players in the league. Sure, is it home run or strike out most of the time? Sure, does that get frustrating? Sure, isn’t this the way of the current MLB? Javy sums it up perfectly. You deal with the BS because of the big bang stuff. But we didn’t want to….

We couldn’t keep ANY OF THEM??? Tom, you jerk off… getting on TV on your network helping spin your shit, not saying much of anything. You gutted us, period. You slammed the door on the Golden Era of Cubs baseball; YOU had it in YOUR control to avoid this… but you didn’t… POS? I think so.

You don’t want to think it’s all about money, but it has to be the top factor. You didn’t want to pay these guys for past performance? So you wanted to pay them for future performance, like we did with Heyward? What was it Tommy? Jed, you’re blaming them? It’s hard for me to watch anything Cubs related right now. Thank God for the Olympics… and the recent Bulls trades… and Bears season, which in fact, has already officially started. Going to be a while…
