I knew I wore my Bulls hoodie and Bulls cap for a reason on Thursday morning… It was the NBA trade deadline day, and the Bulls were potentially going to be in the mix. There were a lot of players’ names tossed out there, but who knew the Bulls would trade for an all-star? It was certainly something new for us Bulls fans to experience.
Nikola Vucevic… I guess I’m going to have to get used to spelling that name. The Bulls traded Wendell, Otto, and two 1st round draft picks to acquire the Magic’s all star big man; we also got Aminu as part of the deal. I was over the top excited about this. Never in my lifetime have the Bulls traded for an all star, at least not one that I can recall. It was always dumping guys, never making an aggressive move to get somebody of this caliber. This is how it should be; it sounds like this is how it WILL be going forward with AKME. Yeah, I’m extending the AK acronym standing for Bulls Executive VP Arturas Karnisovas to AKME to include the Bulls GM Marc Eversley; I like it… it’s kind of catchy. It’s certainly better than GarPax… who after this day, seem to be further in the rearview mirror than ever before; that’s a good thing.
Sure, I’ll miss Wendell. I liked him. Unfortunately, he never lived up to his potential here in Chicago. He had his moments, but those were too far in between. He showed leadership qualities, but was hurt too much for it to really sink in. I wish him well on his next team. As far as Otto goes… good riddance? What a complete waste of time & money. I’ll remember him for Stacey’s Lionel Richie’s All Night Long reference, and also for his appearance in the club when he was supposedly hurt. Yeah, won’t be missing him at all. As far as the draft picks… sure, they are important; they are really important for a rebuilding team. Are the Bulls a rebuilding team? This trade is showing me that AKME doesn’t think so. They feel like there are pieces that are here; that we can compete right now, and that as far as adding talent in the future, we can go out and get it… guys will actually WANT to play in Chicago. We can acquire established talent, like we did with Vucevic, vs hoping our annual 7th overall pick pans out. Plus, it sounds like AKME doesn’t think we’ll have that great of first round pick going forward. Plus, there are other rounds/picks to help the roster. I’m all in on this deal; I love it.
These services include a wide range of activities like system repair, upgrades, maintenance, and much more, but they are costlier if you compare this with the above canadian viagra samples three. The active ingredient in the medication is prescription for cialis Vardenafil, which enters your body when it gets dissolved on your tongue.Oh yeah, and they weren’t done. They engaged in a 3 team deal and got some guys that I had to look up in Troy Brown Jr, Daniel Theis, and Javonte Green. Time will tell how these pieces will fit into the puzzle. Going out the door in this deal were Gafford, Hutchinson, and Kornet. The only guy I will miss is Gafford, although he did have his chances, right? I know there was a Free Gafford movement for a bit, because Boylen buried him on the bench. It certainly feels like he got a better opportunity this year. Again, he had his moments, but for some reason, the one moment I can think of, is that game where he committed 4 straight turnovers… I swear it was something like that. Anyways, good luck to those guys. The only guy that is still on the roster that shouldn’t be at this point is Felicio; can’t have it all I guess.
And yes, there was the supposed dance with the Pelicans about Lonzo Ball as the Bulls shoot to get a true PG; I guess we’re saying Coby White is not one at this point? What about ex-man bun Archie? Haha. Anyways, I’m glad that AKME said no when they asked for too much; so you’re telling me this front office will be aggressive and not get the short end of these deals. It really is a whole new world as a Bulls fan.
I’m ready to get a first glimpse of this revamped roster on Saturday vs the Spurs. These deals not only help the push for the playoffs this year, which I think is an important part of the growth process, but also for the next couple years. This day has put the league on notice that the Bulls are chumps no longer. This day gave all the players in the league something to think about. The Bulls are just getting started, with one goal in mind: hanging #7 in the rafters. It’s been 9 years since Rose’s first injury; I haven’t felt this much promise for the Bulls since earlier that day. Now it’s up to Billy and the players to make it happen; you can’t say AKME hasn’t done everything they can do up to this point. It feels good to have confidence that they are nowhere near done either. Go Bulls!!!
