Done with Nagy; moving on to our QB. Let me preface this by saying I’m not throwing in the towel with Mitch; even though most have decided already, I will wait until the end of this year. It’s sink or swim with Trubisky in 2019. What was supposed to be a breakthrough year for the kid has turned into a big step backwards. At the very least, there has been a serious lack of progression in his game.
Yeah, what about going through his progressions? I see enough of this stuff on Twitter… guys wide open on routes that he is not seeing; timing that is off. I saw it first hand on Sunday. Yes, he did make some nice throws. Like I said, we counted about 6-7. Is that the standard here? Is that where the bar is set? I don’t care what that number is; it will fluctuate each and every game. What I do care about is winning, and there is no position in football that is linked closer to a team winning a game than the QB. If the coach gets the credit and blame for wins and losses, the QB is next. Bottom line, we lost this game. Did Mitch put us in position to win on that last drive? Sure did. Hopefully something he can build on… I’m reaching here, but I need something to hold on to. Seeing that throw and scramble on the last drive reminded me of last year a bit; it gave me a glimpse of what I thought we’d be seeing a lot more of this year with Mitch. It hasn’t happened thus far. It’s been the most glaring issue of the year; it’s been well documented.
The interception he threw was horrible; couple that with the fumble he had and I had flashbacks of Cutler. That’s scary… boo! What was his role in the red zone failures? If I was that guy, I would break down each and every play call in the red zone; I’m not though. I’m just throwing thoughts off the top. I was there though, and from what I recall, I did not like the play selection. I did see Burton open on one of them, the one where he tried to force it to Shaheen. So yeah, Mitch could have made a damn play to save his life. Just one… just one in the red zone and we’re not in the situation of needing a last second kick.

From that water, levitra tabs a large blue lotus rose and opened.I could nitpick on others, including some you wouldn’t think, like the defense. We didn’t sack Rivers all game until the very last drive. Yes, that does not define success on defense; the defense had an overall great game. Yet, with the arrival of Pagano, one of the things I read was that he would be more aggressive. Have you seen it? I haven’t. I did see Buster Skrine sent on consecutive blitzes earlier this season; have you seen a safety blitz lately? Have you seen anybody blitz lately? Obviously the absence of Hicks hurts us; Mack is getting double and triple teamed each down. So… we have to do something to generate pressure. I’m just not seeing it. That’s been another disappointment… much milder than the above.
Cohen has taken a step backwards in my opinion. Burton isn’t worth a damn. The OL is not as good as I thought they would be. Eddy let us down big time in this game. The list goes on, as it usually does with a losing team, because that’s what we are right now. We are now under 500; who the hell saw this coming? Well, like I said, we’re swirling around in the toilet. If any time is a good time to climb out, it’s this week in Philly… a revenge game, that could help turn around our season. Win there, come home and beat Detroit… we could salvage the season. Could being the operable word there. I’m still holding out hope… what else do we got? Bear Down!!!!
