April 22, 2019: Draft Options

And with their first round pick of the 2019 NFL draft, the Chicago Bears select… Khalil Mack. Haha. I don’t care for one second that the Bears will not be picking on day 1 of this year’s draft. You kidding me? We got Khalil Mack! There is nobody on anybody’s board that will have a bigger impact than him this year, and over the next few years. I’m sure they’ll be a handful of studs that pan out, but with Mack we got money in the bank. We knew what he was. No draft analysis needed. No luck of the draw…waiting to see if someone would be there for us, no trading up to get somebody. We have our guy, and I’m all good with that.

Yes, the Bears do have some picks, and yes, it would be nice to get a guy or two that are going to contribute immediately. With the trade of Jordan Howard, part of the Bears plan has to be taking a running back. As of right now, we are a worse team without Howard. Drafting a RB that can contribute this year on the field, will help. Will any RB we get in the third round be better than what we had in Jordan Howard? Probably not…that’s why I have a problem with the move. Will the back we pick contribute more than Howard would over the next few years? Sure, I hope so. Still worried about the impact of that deal on this year. Will Pace be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat? Does Nagy have a guy?

What are the other needs? Well, we replaced Amos and Callahan with Dix and Skrine; did we get the better of that trade off? At least a push right now, hoping to see improvements in those two positions. Is another secondary guy on the menu? You can never have enough there. Besides building up depth, covering for potential injuries, you need these guys against this pass happy league. If there is a guy the Bears are looking at, and he’s there, I think we’ll add somebody in the secondary.

Yes, it is true and this is because any form of movement on the traumatized area of the body can easily lead to viagra discount india http://appalachianmagazine.com/category/appalachian-eats/page/4/?filter_by=popular discomfort as well as pain. Then there’s the whole kicker thing…drafting a kicker late may be smart. I know we have a bunch of guys we’re bringing in; do we have the guy yet? Will we draft the guy? Will we trade a pick to get disgruntled Robbie back home?

RB, CB, and K would make sense. Best available is always a good way to go, especially for a team with no glaring needs outside of RB. Building up depth in any area is smart. Will I be watching? Probably not, but I’ll get my updates on Twitter. We’ll check back in on the Bears then. Bear Down!
