Did you hear John Paxson talk about the Bulls season and his look ahead? I didn’t; I didn’t want to listen to him. I couldn’t avoid reading some of the comments after the fact. I used to love John Paxson when he played with the Bulls…
As a GM, he comes across as an arrogant prick. He comes across as a “know-it-all”, and gets offended when anybody questions his logic. He has all the answers. He’s backed by an owner who doesn’t care. He’s partnered with a buffoon. I don’t like him as GM or VP or whatever he is now with the Bulls, but unfortunately, this is not going to change any time soon.
He hasn’t been all bad. There have been some good draft picks (Jimmy, Taj); there has been a good trade (Otto Porter JR). We got lucky before we got unlucky with Derrick Rose. But it comes down to wins and losses. It comes down to playoff wins. It comes down to NBA titles. Per @MarkPotash, the Bulls have won five playoff series in John Paxson’s 16 seasons as GM/VP; that ranks 16th among the NBAs 30 teams in that span. 16 out of 30 is good for an average 8 seed in the East over the past decade and a half. You happy with that? I’m not.
And worse is that these young men are not mature enough to handle the viagra for women uk situation in the way they should. This is a huge mistake and man must discount viagra from canada realize that there is nothing to be ashamed of. This process involves monitoring and stimulating the ovulatory process of the woman, removal of ovum or ova (eggs) from buy cipla tadalafil the ovaries and letting the sperm fertilize in a liquid in a lab. The online store of the drug makes it cheap. cost of viagra prescriptionThere’s other things too… I could talk about Wade, Rondo, Parker, but what about a current Bull who will make the 3rd most money out of the Bulls roster next year. No, not Lavine, Markkanen, Carter Jr, Porter Jr, or Dunn; coming in at #3 is the fabulous Cristiano Felicio. Horrible. Staying in the current… the Bulls finished 9-23 at the UC this year; their worst home record in franchise history!!! See, I don’t have to go back in the past; the current is ugly enough.
And what was the reason for this you say Pax? Injuries. How were we when everybody was healthy? Getting everybody healthy and adding another top draft pick will magically make the Bulls a playoff team? And then there’s Boylen. I don’t hate him; I don’t love him. He hasn’t been coach long enough in my opinion to make any decisions on him long term. Yet… there are whispers that the Bulls will be extending him for another 3 years. Why? Why the hell would they do that? I’m OK with him coaching next year. He deserves a chance just like anybody else. We don’t know how he’s going to do; we don’t know how the team is going to perform. Why re-up him before we know? Somebody going to swoop in and steal him from us? Teams banging down his door for other head coaching positions paying more? It’s just the latest in stupid thinking by our front office. Again, nothing against Boylen, but we don’t know what we got yet. If you took a poll, it probably would be a lot more negative than positive. That wouldn’t be me; my vote is “jury is still out”. Let’s see how the 2019-2020 Bulls under Boylen do before we do anything drastic.
Anyways, it’s like one of these things that you have no control over… who the top dogs are for your particular sports teams. We’ve suffered plenty in the past across the board with all of our teams at one time or another due to these folks. At this point, it’s the Bulls turn to suffer, as if breaking up the band after the 98 season wasn’t enough. Is that the curse haunting the Bulls to this day? Who knows. I would just like to watch the Bulls in the playoffs again… maybe win a series or two… maybe get back into the Finals while I’m still in my 40s. Yes, 6 titles in my lifetime is not enough; greedy bastard am I. Go Bulls!
