March 13, 2019: Hollywood as Hell

It was said perfectly by Joakim Noah back in the day describing LeBron James:  Hollywood as Hell.  He sure is, and he brought his Hollywood production into the UC on Tuesday.  It didn’t go well for the Bulls, or, if you want them to lose to increase their chances in the Zion sweepstakes, then you may think it did go well.  But back to the diva…

Even folks in LA should have figured him out already.  He didn’t come there to win 3, 4, 5… 9 titles.  He didn’t come there to improve the legacy of the Laker franchise who has more titles than everybody else but the Celtics.  He’s even said as much…. “I have nothing left to prove”.  Well, we know MJ hasn’t been the greatest front office guy; add Magic to that list.  Throwing money at the Dodgers problems… bringing this drama queen out to the Lakers, poisoning their youth.  If anything is evident this year, is that Lebron can’t lead any “normal” team anywhere, but if you’ve been paying attention, that has always been the case.  He always needs his super sidekicks to get the job done.  That’s what he’ll try to do this offseason: convince other superstars to come out to play with him in LA.  If Magic wanted a master kiss ass, I mean, recruiter, he found it.  There will be stars that come out to the Lakers this offseason, and they will be much better with them obviously.  I guess that was the plan all along.  But did you really need Lebum to get stars to come to the Lakers?

Who wouldn’t want to play for the Lakers, the Celtics, heck, the Bulls should be in that category too.  We shouldn’t have to beg anybody to play here.  But… with GarPax… it surely stacks the deck against us.  But back to the Fakers… why not recruit your 2 superstars to add to the decent young core you already had?  Did you need an aging superstar who is more concerned with making movies, TV shows, producing albums, and more than anything, promoting his personal brand?  The Lakers didn’t need him; he needed them.  I’m sure even Laker fans can see that now.  His “leadership” skills… that’s quite the joke; even Hollywood James couldn’t keep that act up… he couldn’t back up his empty words on the court.  But yeah, he still owns the Bulls, and that pisses me off.  I think he raises his game to the next level when playing us.  It’s for one reason.  He wants to beat MJ’s team; I’m sure that’s the way he looks at it.  I’m sure a lot of good teams, a lot of superstars look at it that way.  MJ is who still carries the Bulls brand to this day.  So beat the Bulls = beating MJ.  It’s too bad he couldn’t lace them up in his prime and show everybody why he is the GOAT first hand.

Anyways, I’m sure LeBron can’t wait for this season is over so he can get back to concentrating on what his priority is.  Promoting himself has always been #1.  Winning titles was only a vehicle to do that.  He’s really in the perfect place for that.  It’s a match made in Hollywood; I’m looking forward to the bad ending…
