October 27, 2014: Night and Day

So that’s what a real team looks like…  This time there is no frustration over a game we should have won.  This time there is no frustration over not meeting expectations.  This time we realize just how far away from a good team we are.

This happened on every single level on and off the field Sunday.  Except for Matt Forte, there was no position in the Bears organization that could hold a candle to the Patriots side.  We were outclassed.  We were dominated.  We were put in our place.

I’m not as mad today as I was last week, or some of the other weeks.  It’s more like accepting the reality.  I penciled this game in as a loss months ago, and for once, I was right.  We can’t expect the Bears to win every week.  We have to expect losses in certain situations.  This was one of them.  This wouldn’t be as bad if we would have won in those situations where we should have won.  Now, it just seems like they were picking on us.  It seemed like the Patriots were the bullies, and they were kicking us when we were down.  It was bad timing.

Where do we start to break down this game?  Do we even bother?  OK, let’s go through it.  Shall we start at QB?  We got a look at a true franchise QB.  The announcers were right when they flashed the QB comparison on the TV screen:  there is no comparison.  To be fair, there are not many QBs that are as good as Brady, now or ever.  He will be in the discussion of all-time great QBs.  This is true.  He has everything that a QB should have:  leadership, commands respect in the locker room, makes everyone around him better, oh.. and has Super Bowl rings too.  He’s a winner.  I don’t have any hate towards him.  I just hate the fact that our QB has none of those qualities.  I just hate the fact that our franchise QB hasn’t won anything.  I hope that will change one day.

How about at the skill positions?  Matt Forte is our best player hands down, but the Patriots ran out some no-name RB that ran up and down the field on us.  How about the no-name WRs that Brady kept throwing too?  Where were our big, tall, strong WRs who present matchup nightmares week in week out?  Yes, Gronkowski is one of the top TEs in the league, and he proved that Sunday too.  I’m just disappointed we had no response on offense.  7 points in the first half?  We should be getting used to this by now.
There is one particular aspect regarding discount viagra levitra check out these guys, which you ought to be careful about, especially if you are using the drug for the treatment of ED. From young people, to older men, tadalafil online has been shown to enhance sexual prowess and virility as well as rashes which arise and disappear suddenly and involve the internal organs of the body too. The Bears defense was an embarrassment.  Yes, Brady is good, but we didn’t even put up a fight.  To be fair, we are down Tillman, Briggs, Fuller, & Bostic… that hurts for a defense that was coming off its worst year.  That hurts for a defense trying to improve.  How about that much improved defensive line?  Nothing.  How about that safety position we never addressed this off season?  Nothing.  The defense did nothing on Sunday outside of a goal line stand in the first half.

Special teams had plenty of opportunities on Sunday.  I’m talking about the kickoff return team of course.  They have contributed NOTHING to the Bears team this year.  ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

So on the field we were dominated.  What about off the field?  We have to pull in the coaches and GM for this loss.  We have to compare them to the team we were playing.  Unfortunately, there is no comparison again.  Belicheck made Trestman look like the CFL coach that he was.  I don’t even know the Pats defensive coordinator, but Tucker has to take some blame on our side.  What about the GMs?  Well, the Pats offseason acquisitions were shutting down our best WR and catching double digit passes from Brady.  Ours were on the defensive unit that was dominated.  Ours was celebrating a sack against the backup QB down 20 points in the 4th.  Oh yeah, he got hurt too.  With these 2 weeks off, I think the blame goes up the ladder…. Emery should feel some heat at this point too.

I’m not mad.  I realize now how far we are from the team I thought we would be at the beginning of the season.  I had other titles for this article, like Rock Bottom and RIP 2014 Bears, but those would both not be true.  It CAN get worse, but it could also get better.  The Bears have 2 weeks to think about how they want the rest of their season to go.  For now, the difference between the Patriots and us, is night and day.  At least we still own a victory over them on the biggest stage… I’m going to think about that to make me feel better.  Maybe I need to watch that game again…  Maybe I need to get my mind off the reality that is the Bears 2014 season.  I have 2 weeks to do that.

Looks like we will have to BEAR WAY down this year. Have to run the table for the rest of the season to have a chance this year. Hate to say it, but we are stuck with 160 million dollar piece of trash! BEAR down for the next 7 years! What a dumb move by the BEARS!
