Well, the matchup we’ve been waiting for is finally here… well, almost here. The mighty Rams will be visiting our Bears at Soldier Field in another primetime matchup. Who you got?
Papa Vegas had to give the Rams the edge; that was a no brainer. The Rams, with their 1 loss record, just coming off clinching the NFC West, had to be the favorites; there is no question to that. The early movement in the line indicates some serious money pouring in on the Bears; the line started at 4.5… currently it rests at a FG. The Bears coming off a loss in New York are still not given the respect we deserve, and that’s good, because like I’ve said, we haven’t done crap yet. Wait, yes we have. With last weekend’s result, the Bears will NOT finish in last place in the NFC Central for the first time in 5 years. Yeah, yeah, I’m not jumping up celebrating that feat; way bigger plans this year than that minimal accomplishment. The Lions done, the Packers reeling, and only the Vikings lurking, this is our division to win. That will be the first celebration point. That quest continues on Sunday night.
How’s the weather going to be? A quick glance at my iPhone shows 34 degrees as the high and 22 degrees as the low. That’s a good thing, right? Well, I love the whole Bear weather thing… trust me, I do, yet, that’s overrated. Good teams will play good in any weather; bad teams will be bad in any weather. That’s just the truth, although I would love to think this weather gives us an advantage. The advantage that we do have, is playing at home, regardless of the weather. The guys seem inspired in general, but they really bring their A game at home, with the Pats being our only loss on our home turf; that’s important… Nagy really pushes that, and asks us fans for loud support. We got you Matt.
So what goes down in this NFC slugfest? I don’t think we’re going to completely shut down the Rams offense… not sure anybody can; but I know we won’t get rolled. I’ll give the Rams 3 TDs on offense tops. Meanwhile, this Rams defense may really be Aaron Donald, and that’s it. How can you be a good defense and give up 50+ points? This Bears team is led by the defense, that’s for sure, but… this isn’t that typical Bears team. Our offense is no slouch, and Mitchell will be back under center for this tilt. If the Chiefs put up 50+ against this team, and we have the guy that basically runs the same offense as our head coach, how many points do we put up? Yes, we may not have the same quality of weapons, but still think we can put up some points, although don’t most people think this is going to be a shootout?

I know I said the Rams would score 3 TDs on offense; I changed my mind. The Bears may not get all the way to 31, but they’ll score enough to win. Bears plus the points and on the ML; take it to the bank. The playoff talk will heat up after this win. Bear Down!!!
