I guess I should just embrace it… the new high flying NFL that is. Did you see that game on MNF? Wasn’t it the best regular season game ever? It was so awesome! I didn’t watch one minute of it… because I don’t care. By the way, I wasn’t into the Arena Football League either…
Why do I have these feelings? It certainly feels like I’m in the minority, but… again… I don’t care. I think it all starts with not really being interested in games other than the ones my teams are playing in. Do you think I carve out time to watch a football game that doesn’t involve the Bears? Same goes for the Bulls, Blackhawks, and Cubs. Sure, I’ll casually tune in, as I flip through channels, but I’m not really zoned in on any of these other games. Does that make me less of a fan of the NFL? Maybe so…
I’ve hated the NFL for a while now, and the biggest reason has been because the Bears have sucked. Now that the Bears are good again, my interest in the overall league has increased… yet… I’m still not a fan of this run and gun stuff. Sure, I guess it’s entertaining and all, but is it really football? I guess it is. Things change after all. Like I said, guess I should just embrace it. But I won’t. So sue me if I still like to see a low scoring defensive battle; yeah, I’m the same guy who loves to watch a pitcher’s duel. The occasional outpouring of offense in any sport is welcome from time to time; it just seems like we’re seeing this all the time now. And every time we see it, “it’s the greatest thing ever”. Nah, sorry… not for me.

I’d love to prove that; we’ll actually get a shot at the Rams in a couple weeks. Won’t get a shot to hit Mahomes in the mouth until Super Bowl Sunday… haha.
Good for them, these other teams. And good for us too. If other teams’ defenses are like that, just giving up points at will, then even with our offense, which is not as good as these other teams but is certainly far from being a slouch, we should be able to score a good amount of points. And with our defense keeping these other teams in the ballpark, yeah, I like our chances.
It’s funny… before I hated the NFL because the Bears sucked… maybe just jealous. And now that the Bears are back, I hate these teams too; what gives? What gives is that my chest is sticking out proudly about MY team; any other team perceived as better than my team I will hate. It’s just the way it works… at least in the NFL. I mean, I don’t hate the Chiefs or Rams or Saints specifically per se, but I will hate any team that gets on that field opposite of my team which is making moves up the power rankings. You want to shower all this love on these two teams for scoring over 100 combined points in that made for TV movie? Go ahead. I’ll shower it all right too… Bear Down!

The tone of this particular blog reminded me of someone you & I know that seems to hate your beloved city as much as you hate the current play of the NFL per se. 🤔
You will probably hate Monday, December 10th as well so get ready for it.

Nothing wrong with a shootout or few every now and then, but watching a good defensive team like the Bears is even better. I mean, who wants to see nfl teams averaging 40 points a game? Does that mean their offenses are that good, or is it a better sign of how bad the defenses have gotten? Toss the nba in nowadays. Every team is averaging above 100 points a game. Yeah, a 130-125 game is cool, but so is a 90-85 struggle. So yes, the rams and chiefs can score points…way to go. What happens when they run into a team that can play D, like the rams will vs the Bears in a couple weeks? We shall see, but I’m betting that the rams don’t score 30, let alone 40 or 50. 12/9 is circled on calendar. BEAR DOWN!!!
