August 13, 2018: Signing Number One

posted in: Bears | 0

After re-watching that Bote slam a few times, I was feeling pretty good heading into Monday morning.  The day was just about to get better.  No, not because I had to go to work, but because the Bears finally got busy signing number one.  Roquan Smith has officially arrived.

What the hell was the real deal there anyways?  Did they say it?  Supposedly about leading with the helmet… then about some off the field stuff.  Did he even talk about it all?  Who cares I say.  Bottom line, he’s here… and not a moment too soon.

Still plenty of time to get ready for the regular season.  In fact, hoping to see him this weekend in preseason game #3 for our Bears.  It will give me a reason to watch.  Hoping Trubisky plays a bunch in this one; last game left me wanting to see more.

Only 2 for 4 on his completions, no thanks to Kevin White dropping an easy one, I want to see more.  I know it’s the preseason… I know it’s a new offense… But I’m ready.  I’m ready to see Mitch become the guy we’re all hoping he becomes.  I like that the Bears took a shot to open the game against the Bengals.  I can only hope they do that in the regular season as well.  How many times have we watched the Bears and just begged them to take a shot deep?  It doesn’t have to connect.  Just the mere threat of it will do wonders in loosening up that defense… getting folks to back out of the box.  Like that concept.

Anyway, in this speculated future society, there is an emphasis on loveless sexual activity and advancement of the sciences, and the elimination of such things as viagra 100 mg religion, emotion and individuality. They know that these type of problems are really very common and urge you to have nothing to feel so embarrassed about it as it is commander viagra not endorsed to take more than one estimation for consistently. It works similarly in comparison to the branded online viagra uk that is continuing from the past. Counsel your spe tadalafil onlinet or drug specialist for more subtle elements. If Trubisky is going to be THE guy, we need somebody to be THE guy on defense.  Welcome Roquan Smith.  It could be Leonard Floyd or Kyle Fuller… maybe Akiem Hicks, but Roquan Smith… another linebacker… yeah, it’d be nice if he was the guy.  Of course, you need more than just a guy on either side of the ball.  You need the full team… you need to be strong in all 3 facets of the game.  But it certainly doesn’t hurt to have studs leading you on either side of the ball.  What’s a stud?

The Bears have lacked that star talent for a while; now, we may actually have some.  It goes a long way.  It helped me make a jersey decision for my son.  Payton was already in the closet, but we needed a recent player.  Until last year, I had nobody.  He now has the Trubisky jersey.  Too early?  Maybe, but maybe not.  Maybe a Smith jersey too at some point?

I know… I really need to pump the brakes.  All that playoff talk I’m yapping about.  Laughing at the over under win total for the Bears in Vegas.  Scoffing at the expert predictions… the Trubisky rankings.  Yeah, that’s all OK.  It will soon be time to show and prove what we’re really all about.

I’m just glad we’ll be at full force.  Would have hated to start the year with our number one pick sitting out; that would have really sucked.  Hopefully, in a few years, nobody will even remember this short holdout.  Welcome Roquan, and Bear Down!

Roquan is finally signed and should be ready week 1. The Bears have talent on both sides of the ball. Is it enough? Will it all come together? We get our first peak week 1 vs the fudgesicles from cheeseland. Yes, we Bears fans are overly excited, hopeful that this could be the year the Bears get back to the playoffs. The experts think the Bears will not. Who will be right? Just glad that the Bears are whole now. Get Roquan up to speed on D so that he can make an immediate impact week 1. Get a sack or turnover week 1 and all is forgotten. Hopefully, MTru and the O is ready to go using Nagy’s new offense. Take some shots. Get and keep the playmakers on the field. Week 1 cannot come soon enough. I’m pumped and ready to see who the Bears are this year. BEAR DOWN!!!
