On Sunday, the Cubs finished their 12th game after the All Star break. Eight of these games were against the Cardinals. I’m sick of them already.
I’m sick of them in general. Claiming to have the best fans, the most knowledgeable fans…all those World Series championships, which they seem to stress even more since 2016. The whole Cardinal way… how’d that work for Mike Matheny? Good riddance to that asswipe. He never looked like he was having one ounce of fun, unless that was just when he played us. Like he had to hate us; that’s part of the Cardinal way.
I don’t like their players, except for the one guy I’ll always love. Molina this, Molina that, HOFer….pass me barf bag. Carpenter and his salsa; that was their number one lead item on Sunday Night baseball. They were pathetic.
Poor Jessica Mendoza…the only person in that booth that is halfway decent. Matt V trying to call the play by play by paying half attention; he’s horrible. Then there A-Roid…wow. This guy just rambles on about stuff; is that a side effect of the roid usage? Maybe we’re just spoiled with our TV and radio guys. All I know is that broadcast was brutal. But back to the Cardinals…
We split the 8 games with them. They did win the series in St. Louis. Thankfully we were able to salvage the rubber match. I would have been sick to my stomach if we had got swept by those bastards.

We’re 6-6 since the break, as our lead in the division shrinks. I wanted to see that lead grow; get a double digit lead, put the Brewers far in our rear view. Well, that ain’t happening. The Brewers continue to play good ball; still hard to believe they’ll maintain with the rotation they have. Yet, they’re still right there.
I hate them too. Have I penned a hate file for the Brewers yet? It seems way overdue if I haven’t. The Cards already have theirs; they almost deserve another. Unlike the Brewers this year, the Cardinals shouldn’t be a factor. Somehow they always sneak their heads in to the race. We won’t have to worry about them until September, the next time we play them. Will they be fighting for a playoff spot or will they be trying to play the role of spoiler? Either way I can’t stand them; did I mention that already?
I’ll continue to root for any team playing them or the Brewers, unless of course they play each other. That could be one of those rare times where I may root for the Cards; makes me queasy just thinking about it. Maybe I’ll just root for the Brewers then…the lesser of two evils, not wanting any help from those birds anyways. Damn Dex, why’d you have to go there?
See you in September St. Louis. Until then, hope you fall to the bottom of the division. Hope that salsa makes you sick. Hope you hire Dusty Baker. Go Cubs!

The red turds are just that right now. Yes, the Cubs split these 8 games with them, but they are and have been looking up at the Cubs for awhile now. That is where they belong so they better get used to it. I feel nothing for the red turds but hate and disgust. The brewcrew are getting right up there, too. Unfortunately, they are actually playing good baseball to keep the nl central close with the Cubs. Would be nice to open up a lead and not have to sweat every game, but oh well. More games to come vs both the red turds and brewcrew. They all mean something but hopefully the Cubs can build a lead and keep it all the way into the postseason! GO CUBS GO!!!
