June 14, 2018: Bet On It

Have I not talked about this yet?  The overturning of a decision that could lead to legalized sports betting in states other than Nevada?  Yes, you know I saw that.  What do I think about that?

Well, for starters, that’s dangerous.  If and when it comes to Illinois, I’m definitely going to have to reopen the conversations with the wifey about betting on sports.  I’ll take a small budget… like really small… like only enough to bet on 5 games per month… that’ll keep me under control… that should keep be focused and not betting stupid…. should…

Yeah, if that had happened about 20 years ago, I might really be broke.  One of my vices, legalized in my own city… Nah, I was fine with going to Vegas to make it happen… or dealing with my bookie… or having an off shore betting account.  Yeah, been there done all that.

And at the end of the day, my dream of becoming a professional gambler, just like in my wife’s favorite movie Two for the Money, went down the tubes.  But now, I see a flickering light…

Yet, I’d be perfectly fine if they left it just the way it is.  But, if there’s money to be made from it, then it will happen… similarly with the other illegal thing that is being legalized everywhere… similarly with alcohol a long time ago.  Imagine living in the prohibition era…
Male impotence can in many cases be treated by drugs taken orally, injected, or as penile suppositories. viagra generika 50mg His cure for almost online prescription viagra without any cancer was garlic and onions. Generally, it is recommended to take 100 mg of kamagra cheapest viagra online is equal to 100 mg of sildeanfil citrate that can perform huge on the system s of PDE-5 inhibitor. If men with heart problem, hypertension, kidney problems and diabetes ignore prescription and gulp the medicine firm wholesale viagra pills erections, they develop serious health ailments.
Yeah, that didn’t last long.  Nope, too much money in that old devil juice… haha.  Yeah, nothing wrong with throwing back a few every now and then… just like with everything, moderation is the key.  Of course, unless there is some health issue or otherwise that needs that moderation to be zero, then that’s what you’ll have to do.  All this stuff effects everybody differently…

The legalization of sports betting will make money, no doubt, because there are a lot more losers than winners.  How will each state manage their book?  Will it be all tied to Papa Vegas?  One line across the whole country?  I’m not sure that will work.

For example, they just legalized it in New Jersey I believe.  So… the money coming in on New York teams will be greater than before.  All those folks out there like me who think they can make money off this thing by betting with their heart on their home team are ripe for the taking.  But… let’s say they’re right every once in a while.  If a ton of money is rolling in on a NY team, and that doesn’t match the action in Vegas, does the line get adjusted ONLY in New Jersey, or will it adjust everywhere?  Is that money going in one big pot at the end of the day or will each state manage it separately?  Are there middling opportunities here???

Interesting things to take note of for those of us, I mean, those of you interested in this kind of thing.  Maybe there are already answers out there.  Maybe I just don’t want to know them… maybe I just don’t want to hear them… like what my wife will think of my monthly sports wagering budget… I could hear her now… Don’t bet on it!

Sports gambling…dangerous stuff! Been there, done that. Even when you try to stay disciplined, once the ship starts sinking, all bets are off…hahaha. Even more so when it comes to betting on Chicago teams. So hard to keep your heart and head separate. A small budget is the way to go along with specified amounts on games. Only betting what you have is even more important. If you aint got it, dont bet it. What will happen once Illinois makes the decision? Not sure anything for me. Not currently betting and no intentions on starting. Those “sure” bets are no such things, plus the time isnt there to research games properly. Yeah, I get feels here and there, but nothing solid enough to guarantee I make money. Once I can do that, Im ALL IN! HAHAHA
