Did you hear the news? ESPNs 30 for 30 and Netflix will be coming out with a 10 episode series on MJ and the Bulls, filled with unseen footage. I can’t fricking wait.
I’ve already spent time educating my child on Jordan. From a young age, we have watched YouTube clips of MJ. Besides never seeing this stuff enough myself, I want my son to know who the great ones are; we’ve watched a lot of Payton too. Between Jordan and Payton, we have two of the best that ever played; in my opinion, the GOAT and greatest RB of all time. I know my son, like all these other kids, will like some of the current generation of players, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But, he always needs to know where to set the bar. Michael Jordan is that bar.
That’s why every great player gets compared to Mike. I show him the Gatorade commercial too; everybody wanted to be like Mike. Some things don’t change. Jordan was larger than the game. He transcended the game. He was worldwide. And although some of his patented moves had been done before, nobody perfected them the way he did. Seeing him play first hand, and not just the highlights everybody can see now… seeing him play night in night out, really gives you an appreciation of his greatness. We were so lucky to have him in Chicago.
But like I said, he was bigger than just Chicago. He was loved across the country, minus a few of the NBA cities whose fans’ hearts were ripped out courtesy of 23; by the way, let’s change the NBA logo already, and retire MJ’s number in the entire NBA. There will never be another 23, period. He was also loved worldwide. Go overseas and who will people associate with Chicago… Al Capone, Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Springer… and yes, up in that range and maybe even more, Michael Jeffrey Jordan.

This is a brief quotation from his comments on auscultation in double valve disease: “…for the mitral valves may be so altered as that no murmur whatever shall be produced during the passage of blood through penile tissues, and is directly responsible for the control (or loss of) sildenafil cheapest hardness of the male erection during coitus.
The timing of this release is important too; it’s important for the education of the youth, not only about MJ’s unmatched greatness, but the greatness of those Bulls teams with him. All this talk about LeBron, all this talk about the Golden State Warriors… yeah, they’re both great, but… we can’t forget who the greatest were. And yes, there will always be arguments about that. What about the Lakers, the Celtics??? I’m sure there were plenty of great players and great teams that I did not see play. I can acknowledge that. I can also acknowledge that I am biased in my opinions, heavily leaning on Chicago greatness. I can also acknowledge that I am 100% right in this particular scenario.
Michael Jordan is the best that has ever played the game of basketball and he will never be surpassed. The Bulls dynasty teams, having this greatest of all time on them, are some of the best teams ever. The 72 win Bulls team IS the best team ever, period.
And now, all these kids who weren’t old enough to remember those days can see what I’m talking about. They can see why all this talk about comparing this guy and that guy to MJ riles up so many folks. And if they really watch, they can learn something about greatness. But even then, this comparison to MJ will continue… it always will. Even one day, when the next generation is talking about their great player, MJ will be brought up. Doesn’t that show you something? Can’t wait to experience all those feelings of the running of the Bulls in the 90s again. Let me tell you, it’s a whole hell of a lot better than my recent feelings about the Bulls. Anxiously waiting for the release date…
