May 4, 2018: Weak

posted in: Bulls | 1

I thought that maybe this would be the Raptors’ year…  I mean, they’re the number one seed in the East.  Does that mean anything nowadays?

They absolutely choked Game 1 against the Cavs away.  Is it one of those things where one team just owns the other?  I remember when the Bulls beat the Raptors a number of times in a row.  Or, is it just that the East is that weak, period?

I look around the Eastern Conference… it’s getting better.  The Bucks are on the upward swing with the Greek Freak.  Will Jabari still be there next year though?  Come on home buddy.  The Pacers put up a great fight against the “mighty” Cavs.  You just wonder if Paul George had stayed, how good they would have been?  But then you see the type of performance he gave in an elimination game for OKC… pathetic.  The Sixers are definitely on the upswing; it’s surprising that they have been outplayed thus far by the Celtics.  And yes, there is the Celtics.  Imagine if they had Irving and Hayward… they would definitely be coming out of the East, but without them???  Every time my buddy texts me after another Celtics win, I ask him one question:  But can they beat the Cavs?

The Cavs are certainly in the driver seat against Toronto, after winning both in Toronto, and certainly look like the favorites to come out of the East.. again.  I hate to downplay their wins; wait, who am I kidding, I love to downplay their victories.  Yes, the East is THAT weak still… that this Cavs team, THIS Cavs team can keep winning.  It’s Lebron and a bunch of guys he can kick the ball out to.  Is Lebron that good?

Haha… yeah, he’s good.  Did I ever say he wasn’t any good?  No, I don’t think I did.  He’s not the GOAT; yeah, I’ve said that before.  But he’s good enough to lead the Cavs through the weak Eastern Conference… again.  I’ve rooted for the Pacers with no luck.  And now it certainly looks like the weak ass Raptors will bow out again.  Next I’ll have to root for the shorthanded Celtics?  The prospects are not looking good.

So, I’ll have to rely on the West again to knock them out.  I’d prefer to root for the Rockets in that situation, but honestly I think the Warriors have the best chance of beating them.  I think either of those teams will knock the Cavs out, but… to play it safe, send the Warriors again.  Dammit.

To watch those teams battle again will be sickening to the stomach.  Today’s NBA is BS… the same teams meeting year after year.  Haha… yeah, that’s happened before, but never so annoying then now, with a guy I hate and a 73 win team that added an All Star.  It’s a no win situation.

But… there is a win hidden in there, and that’s with the Cavs losing.  I have to rely on that.  I just can’t believe the Raptors look so bad…  Looks like I’ll be rooting for the winner of the Sixers Celtics next… weak.

EAST=WEAK. It has for so many years now. Finally, it is getting a bit stronger, but it still does not compare to the west, which is why the queen and his minions keep cake walking it to the finals every damn year. Then they play a real team from the west and get it handed to them…see the queen’s finals record! Yes, what a great accomplishment that the queen has been to the finals so many years in a row. What does that really say, though? Making the finals in a weak conference but having a sub .500 finals record speaks for itself. The raps are done, just like indy was in game 7. I wish the celts were healthy with all weapons ready. They might still win a game or 2, but can they take out the cavs? I do not think so. So with that said, I want the warriors to play the cavs in the finals again…ugh…not because I like either but because I think gsw has the best chance to give the queen another L in his finals record, which is all I care about.
