Best available or positions of need? I think most of the time, in the NFL draft, it’s best available. We just talked about how the Bears did that. Drafting Roquan Smith did not address the biggest areas of need, but it did add a special type of player. Doing both would be the most ideal; would the Bears do that on day 2?
The short answer is yes. Were James Daniels and Anthony Miller the best available at the time the Bears picked them? You could make the argument against that, but they did both fill positions of need. And they’re not too shabby either from what I hear.
I was hoping that the Alabama WR would fall to us in the 2nd, as he continued to drop in the first round. No luck. But when it was the Bears turn to pick, they turned their pick in immediately. They must have been happy this guy was still on the board.
James Daniels from Iowa. Yes, he is an OL, not a CB, like the ESPN display showed for a while. Thinking he would be the starting center before Pace said he would be a guard, adding talent to the OL is never a bad thing, especially when we have a young franchise QB to protect. This is why I would have been perfectly fine with Nelson had he been available. I wonder if he was available…. would the Bears still have taken Roquan? We’ll never know… well, maybe we’ll be told how it would have went down, but with Nelson already gone, we’ll never truly know.
Thinking the Bears were done for the night, I turned away from the draft. But then I heard they made a trade…. to get back into the 2nd round… to get a WR. Now I don’t know much about Anthony Miller, but the pick got very positive reviews across the board. As did Daniels… as did Roquan. Could the Bears have nailed each of their first three picks?
It is the few occasions where we show our dysfunctional behaviour that can have a high browse around address now levitra overnight delivery detrimental impact on our life. Follow the healthy rules and take proper initiative to cure these cialis sale australia problems from the very beginning. Planet Ayurveda provides various supplements in pop over here order viagra which above mentioned herbs are used. If all three of these guys are starting week 1, which is a very good possibility, then I would say yes. That’s all you can ask for. To bring in guys of impact that can do so right away sounds like a good draft to me. Of course, the results will tell the whole story.
I’m glad we looked to add guys that can impact NOW. Because unlike what Nagy and others are saying, I expect to see results immediately from this Bears team in the 2018-2019 season. Yes, I’m sure they won’t be picked to win the Super Bowl outside of this here blog, but seriously… it’s playoffs or bust for me. Adding 3 starters in the draft seems to align with that attitude.
And what’s wrong with that? Playoffs or bust should be the story every year. I can only wish the bar gets set that high for the Bears again. Not getting 6 wins, or trying to get to 500. No. Making the playoffs should be the goal every single year; it hasn’t been a realistic one for a while… until now.
I’m ready for some football right now; still feels like football weather out. How many days until Week 1? Can’t wait to see this phenomenal offseason turn into on-season, and see these guys on the field. With the Packers in week 1, we’re jumping right in. The water is warm. Bear Down!

The exact dilemma, need vs best available. It sure seemed that the Bears nailed both of these for the most part this draft. After a stellar 1st round pick in Roquan Smith, the Bears nailed their 2nd pick with James Daniels from Iowa. Beefing up the Bears offensive line with a 20 year old beast who can play center or guard is a great thing. Then the Bears trade to get another 2nd round pick. Anthony Miller from Memphis. Not sure if he is a stud or not, tbd, but he sure does seem like a solid choice at wide receiver. Yes, I have heard he drops some balls…that is not a good thing. Hopefully, he grows out of that and becomes a top choice for MTru to throw the ball to. Wow, could all 3 top picks start day 1? Hell yes they could! Talk about an immediate jolt of young talent and momentum to a team who has made some great offseason moves. If you are on the Bears train, you have to like what has gone on thus far. I sure as hell do. Playoffs or bust for damn sure. Cannot wait to face the fudge in week 1. The Bears will be tested right out the gate, and I have a feeling the hibernation is over! BEAR DOWN!!!
