I’m happy for Jimmy Butler, I really am.
We went out for pizza last night, and started talking about Jimmy Butler and all this talk about trading him. I said if he was going to be traded, there was one team that I would want to see him with, and that was the Minnesota Timberwolves. About a minute later, I got a text: Butler to Wolves.
So the Bulls did it. Listening and reading some idiots, including Gar and Pax, they said this was a good move. The Bulls finally have some direction. We needed to rebuild. Ha! Most people with a brain understand how stupid this really was. None of us, with a brain, are buying into the bullshit that Gar and Pax are selling. Period.
Let’s not focus on Jimmy for just one second, and remember what the real problem here is. The Bulls championship window was here, and now it is gone. Rose’s injuries certainly help take that off the tracks, but now Gar Pax have completely derailed it. It all started when they fired Thibs. When will they pay for that mistake? How many more mistakes will we let them make? The corresponding transaction there was the hiring of Fredberg, who we all know is a complete joke. So fire one of the most respected coaches and hire a college coach who accomplished little? We knew then this story was not going to end well.
They thought he’d come in, with the Thibs roster, and just be one of those Spolestra, Lue type coaches who are just coach in title only. You think the players who played under and respected Thibs were going to thrive in this totally opposite Fredberg world? Wrong.
So FredBerg benched Noah. Yes, his injuries have piled up since then, but at that point, he was so much more to the Bulls. To not make the playoffs with that team that year under Fred was a complete embarrassment. But that was Jimmy’s fault right?
A year ago today, Rose was dealt… for another spectacular package by the way. That seems to be another trend with these buffoons. What did we get for Rose, Taj, McDermott, and now Buckets. 3 bad deals where the Bulls got fleeced. How many more mistakes will we let them make? They are making the Bulls franchise a joke, and it’s sickening.

With a chance to actually do that, and find players who could develop into a sidekick for Jimmy, we grabbed Wade and Rondo. Wow, how stupid are we. Again, seeing right through these idiots, it was all about grabbing a big name. Instead of actually surrounding Butler with talent, this is what we did? The fact that we barely made the playoffs this year, yeah, that was Jimmy’s fault too.
But look… Jimmy wasn’t perfect. He never respected Hoiberg, and that was quite clear… and that is not a leadership type move. Maybe he never trusted GarPax either after Thibs was sent packing; join the crowd on that one. When GarPax said they’d listen to offers for Jimmy, when they should have been standing behind their #1 player, and one of the top players in the NBA, one of the top 3 two-way players in the NBA, that was another misstep. If they were really presented with such a great offer that they couldn’t refuse it, they’d have to dump Jimmy. Is this what they had in mind?
I’m pissed. I even let it sink in a bit before I wrote this. GarPax have completely ran this franchise into the ground, and we’re supposed to believe they can build it back up again? This is what Reinsdorf thinks? Making bad personnel decisions and bad deals have left us crippled.
Hey, I hope the new guys do well. I will always be a Bulls fan, regardless of who happens to be the owner and GM. We were fans before you, and we’ll be fans after you. I hope this 7 footer that we drafted who can’t play defense or rebound, but can shoot 3 pointers is great. I hope this PG that the Bulls were so hot for (not a good sign by the way) comes in and gives us some stability at that position that FredBerg has coached into the ground the last few years. I hope the dunk master that is Levine can bounce back from his ACL injury (another not so good sign) and play well for us. I hope the Bulls are better than the dumpster fire they’ve been since Thibs was sent packing.
I am interested to see Happy Jimmy play back with Thibs and some actual young talent. He deserves it. He deserves better to play for this franchise that has been turned into a joke by these GMs; unfortunately, us fans will continue to have to deal with it. I’m sad for us.
I’m not sad for Dwade though. Another fleecing of the Bulls, Wade will have over 20 million reasons to continue to lose night after night. I wonder how many million per loss he’ll make as his career ends. Him and Garpax deserve each other… but we don’t deserve either.
We deserve to see a superstar play night in night out like Jimmy. We deserve to see a front office that knows their head from their ass, and can actually build a team around that superstar… not send him packing. And now, in a superstar league, we have zero. Tell me again how that makes us better. Keep your heads up Bulls fans… keep your heads up.

Gar/Pax need to be gone..now, part of the rebuilding. I said Jimmy needed to be dealt but I was hoping to Boston for the draft picks. To send him to the T-wolves was a good move, but what you got back was shameful. At least keep your 16th pick! Now that I think about it, even if they would have gotten the picks from Boston, they probably would have messed that up too. Bulls front office sent a message to Jimmy; we hope you never win one and Jimmy will never be back. Why wouldn’t Wade opt-in, 24 Million bucks for an aging player would buy him a few more outfits. He will also be dealt to the Lakers by the trade deadline and the BULLS will probably eat 90% of the money. It is what I is I guess, bad day all around for BULLs fans….and today I defiantly SEE RED!

Congrats to Jimmy as he heads to minny to reunite with Thibs. No way do I understand the Bulls reasoning for this move. Finally have a direction? Really garpax, that’s the best you got. What direction is that? Make dumbass trades, get rid of all of Thibs’ guys, continue to ride fredberg’s jock (like he has done anything so far), and drive this franchise back to the preMJ or postMJ days where there was no shot at winning a title. Thanks for nothing! So now the Bulls are stuck with dwade’s old ass for now…soon to be reuniting with his boy toy leloser, and a bunch of young, unproven talent. Sounds like a fast track for missing the playoffs and tanking for a top 5 pick. This is the same trade that minny wanted last year, and the Bulls did not pull the trigger. Somehow, this year it makes more sense? Butler did everything he could to will the Bulls to the playoffs in the weak east. Yes, he was not perfect, but he is one of the best 2 way players in the league that just got traded for a slam dunk champ and garbage. The stampede of the Bulls is now headed to the bottom of the nba. Can’t wait for fredberg to turn this young franchise around with dumb and dumber in charge. How long is it going to take for reinsdork to pull the trigger on these 3 stooges? Seeing red is right!
