April 27, 2017: Getting Drafty

posted in: Bears | 1

There’s been a lot going on.  The Blackhawks collapse and the Bulls confusion in the playoffs.  The Cubs starting their championship tour of the majors, and heck, even the Sox doing better than expected.  We can’t forget about our Bears, especially on a day like today.

I hadn’t been doing a lot of homework on it.  I know what’s at stake though.  This draft will determine the short, and potential long term future of the franchise.  With the #3 pick in each round, the Bears need to hit a home run.  I woke up excited, knowing that today, we will finally know, who the Bears will take at #3.  I thought my Payton HOF jersey would be an appropriate choice of attire today, and even wore my Bears baseball cap.  Draft day is upon us!!!

So I crammed, like I used to do sometimes for those tests in school.  I tried to learn everything I could about the draft, mock drafts, etc, etc, etc, as I could before tonight rolls around.  I had some basic background.  I was keeping an eye and ear on things, but I needed to know it all.. right now.  After this flurry of information, personally, I’m still torn on who the Bears should take.

As long as it doesn’t go like that one year:  “The Bears select Shea McClellin”… and I screamed at the TV, and may have thrown something.  How can it go like that this year?  It seems like a can’t miss pick.  Yet, we will not know the true success of the pick at this point.  We can feel good about it.  We can argue about it.  We can all act like experts.  But there is only one man, who will have the final say, and that’s Ryan Pace.

My conclusion: October will not be a pleasant month for the stock market free levitra samples this year. A physician measures the latency between squeeze and contraction by observing the anal sphincter or by feeling it with a cheapest generic tadalafil gloved finger inserted past the anus. When you have hyperhidrosis, warts ordering cialis appalachianmagazine.com may take a while treating the underlying cause. By the by, it it soft cialis pills go to store is made of plant-based natural herbal extract. Here’s one thing I think we should NOT do:  Do not draft a player with an injury history.  We’ve done this before; wasn’t there some bad medicals on Marc Colombo?  So Malik Hooker and Jonathan Allen may be guys I would avoid at this pick.  Now if somebody like this slips later in the draft, and we want to take a chance on them… I’m OK with that.  Just not with that #3 pick.

The last time I talked about the draft, I was leaning defense for the first pick.  Solomon Thomas seems to be the trending pick.  Before that, it was Jamal Adams.  What if Myles Garrett slips?  I think either of these picks would be OK.  There is of course Cleveland and San Francisco picking ahead of us.  Who knows what the hell the Browns will do?  And then the Niners, with first year GM John Lynch… another crap shoot.  It’s funny to hear all these rumors; we’ll know what the truth is very soon.

I can’t wait, and we won’t have to wait long.  At the 3rd pick, it will be over quickly… for the life of me, I couldn’t remember if we picked the 2nd round today; nope, it’s tomorrow.  Both the 2nd and 3rd rounds on Friday; I’ll be tuning in then too.  Oh wait, the Bulls play…

But today is all about the Bears.  And what if they did pick a QB, Watson, at #3?  Would you be OK with that?  I’m still trying to answer that myself.  Less than 5 hours to go until we start to celebrate or talk crap about the pick.  Bear Down Baby!  Don’t F it up!

With the 3rd pick in the 2017 nfl draft, the Chicago Bears select…

The Bears cannot screw this up. Defense or qb? Best available? Who knows what the Bears and pace are thinking. Do they have a guy they want?
I really dont have a guy…just want best available but leaning defense. It is exciting to think that the Bears will be getting better. Hope springs eternal for the Bears on this draft day, too. You ready? I am…BEAR DOWN!!!
