This is what it’s felt like all year. These last 3 games are the exact reason why it’s so damn hard to watch the Bulls play basketball. After tonight’s Game 5 loss in Boston, the Bulls are on the brink of elimination.
It was ugly; that is this Bulls team. They tricked us all after the first two games, and if you’re going to say it’s all about Rondo not being in, I’ll say BS. It was nice to have him on the sideline doing the coaching duties while FredBerg continued to be worthless. “Got to give him credit” is what I heard after the first two wins; nah, no way.
His answer in Game 4 was to play Isaiah Canaan a ton of minutes. His answer in Game 5, was to start him. Are Grant and MCW that bad? I actually do give FredBerg a bit of credit for going out on a limb and playing a guy who hasn’t even been in the rotation since 2016. Then he doubled down on it and started him!!!
If you were going to be that crazy, then why not do something with the players that have played meaningful minutes in the past 4 months? Buckets and Wade in the backcourt, Zipser and Niko and Rolo in the front court. Why not? And why aren’t we seeing Denzel Valentine? Did he sleep with somebody’s wife? Well, the Bulls are 1 loss away from enjoying their vacation, which is what they seem interested in after 3 straight losses. I give fredberg no credit. He is clueless. He has no idea about team chemistry. He does not know what a bench rotation is. He starts or plays guys out of the blue hoping to guess right. Canaan starting? Morrow even playing? WTF is he thinking? Looking for spark? Give me a break. You nail that down during the year so the team has some chemistry now. Guys starting and playing who barely saw the court all year…REALLY??? Completely lost is fredberg and in turn, so are the Bulls. Garpax created this mess, and now we sit on the brink with no hope in sight this year or the next few.
Yes, the Bulls made the playoffs…congrats! That should never have been a question. They win the first 2 only to lose the next 4, 3 of them at home…very likely.
