We interrupt this regularly scheduled Bears preview for an MVP announcement.  After all, who wants to talk about the Bears anyways?  Well, actually, I do, but we will delay it by a day this week.  We’ll use today, possibly the warmest day Chicago will see in the next 4 months, to put a stamp on the end of the 2016 baseball season:  the most glorious season of all.

It was topped off on a good note of course.  It was a no brainer.  Kris Bryant won the NL MVP.  How lucky are we?

I don’t want to go crazy and/or overstate this, but… we could be watching one of the best Cubs of all time.  We could be watching one of the best baseball players of all time.  Too early?  Of course.  Still…  and I’m not going to run down all the #’s, all the metrics, etc, although if I did, he ranks up there in all of them, on a historic level.  I’m just going off the eye test, and he passes with flying colors.

He can do it all.  There is nothing he can’t do on the baseball field.  He plays solid defense.  He can hit for power.  He can hit for average.  He is a great base runner.  He can play multiple positions.  Were we a little worried if he could carry all these credentials into the postseason?  Were we worried that he was going to be a regular season stud and a postseason dud?  I wasn’t.

Jack Sparrow from the film, Pirates of Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl, online viagra undoubtedly is the most popular character he has played so far in his career. However, social standards purchase viagra online appalachianmagazine.com dictate that women are supposed to be lived with and should be taken care of. The medicine works to stop the obstructing action of the enzyme to be produced, and the body flourishes in buy tadalafil from india appalachianmagazine.com the mean time. These two elements super viagra http://appalachianmagazine.com/2019/12/11/small-earthquake-shakes-new-river-valley-roanoke-early-tuesday-third-in-week/ have been used since a long time for treating sexual dysfunction. I knew, that eventually, he would come through.. and he did.  He started off hot.  He had a really nice start to the NLDS vs the Giants.  I remember saying… somebody just get on base in the 9th ahead of Bryant.  And they did, and he hit a towering blast that barely left the park.  Huge home run.  He was solid in the NLCS.  Between him and Baez, they were the only ones hitting early in that series.  And then the World Series… he struggled a bit early, but his home run in Game 5 at Wrigley was like a breath of fresh air.  Down 3-1, needing all hands on deck, Bryant stepped to the forefront, and didn’t stop the rest of the series.  I couldn’t believe he scored on that short sac fly, or that Rizzo double.  He was an animal out there.  And then, the final out, and that smile… and the hands up in the air.  It was perfect.

We’ve seen it all year though.  We’ve seen it since he’s come up.  The guy is a beast.  He’s always solid, but when he locks in… oh man, you can’t get a pitch past him.  Like that Reds game where he went deep 3 times and hit 2 doubles.  Hey, let’s not forget about that All Star Game home run off Chris Sale; that was pretty cool.  It was a season full of those type of moments.  He did in the regular season, in the all star game, and when it mattered most in the postseason.  The guy is legit.

He’s also stunningly handsome…. now I don’t swing that way, but man, the kid has the looks too.  He will make millions in advertisements and endorsement deals in his career.  He is the perfect pitch man.  Yes, he may not be that vocal yet, but that too will come.  He is also a good guy.  Don’t think you will ever see him in any off the field trouble.  I mean, never say never, but this guy is really that squeaky clean.  He has got it all.  And the Cubs have him…we have him.

Congratulations K BOOM!  You deserve every minute of it, and I’m hoping it’s only just begun.  Just like every other member of this year’s team, I say thank you.  Thank you for everything you did this year.  Thank you for allowing us to witness history.  You are an MVP in every sense of the word.  I don’t ever want to see you play anywhere else but Wrigley.  We better start saving up.  MVP!  MVP!  MVP!  Yeah, it happened.  It ALL happened.  How many days until next year starts?  The Cubs will be defending World Series champs.  That never will get old.  See you soon boys.

    KB=MVP
    What a 2year start to his aWesome Cubs career!
    Rookie of the year last year and now MVP this year to go along with leading the Cubs to their first World Series W in 108 years. Yes, he is very deserving. He does it all and seems to be just getting started. He cut his strikeouts down this year and should continue to do so. His fielding and playing multiple positions is so valuable, and his baserunning, spotlighted in game 7, is amazing. His power seems effortless, and the Cubs are lucky to have this kid. We are even more lucky to be able to watch KB grow, improve, and awe us now and in the future. Thanks KB! You are the MVP and a World Champion! Keep your head on straight and the sky is the limit…K BOOM!!!
