September 1, 2016: The Forecast

Am I the only one not freaking out about the Bears this year?  This has nothing to do with their final preseason victory, which I just found out what the result was.  It doesn’t matter that they went 1-3, same as if they went 3-1 or 4-0.  Haven’t we learned one thing… that the preseason is worthless.  I’ll keep preaching it.

Flash back 5 weeks before the preseason began, and how was everybody feeling then?  Have there been things to make you feel a little worse?  Sure.  I am not counting the preseason results as part of those things.  Haven’t we learned anything about Fox so far?  I’ve bitched about it before… how he doesn’t say anything… how he seems to be so secretive… like the media and fans are on a need to know basis.  He keeps everything pretty tight lipped… not Belicheck tight lipped, but pretty close.  So do you think that you were going to see much of anything in the preseason?

There have been injuries, and that is concerning considering the Bears lack of depth.  Grasu out hurts that offensive line, regardless of how good or bad he was.  Pernell McPhee could be ruled out for the first six weeks of the season; that is a big blow.  But hey, Alshon is healthy… for now.  I’m interested to see what he and Kevin White can do together in a regular season game.  And Langford?  He is surprisingly under the radar.  After watching some of his performances last year, I thought he was the RB of the future for sure.  I wasn’t quite ready to say good bye to Forte yet… thought they’d be a great 1-2 punch, regardless of who was 1 and who was 2.  Then the Bears started looking for other RB options; that’s the part I never understood.  Yet, Langford still stands head and shoulders above, as the clear cut RB stud in this Bears backfield.  For all the talk about Fox using multiple backs, and I’m sure we will see some of that, I think Langford will be the horse by a long shot.  I scooped him in my fantasy draft for cheap!  I was shocked how a guy who we were loving last year, has slipped down this year.  I think he could have a monster year.  And then we have Cutler… well, yeah, some things haven’t changed.

That prescription female viagra is why many users prefer to apply the medicine topically rather than using the tablets. It can be a symptom of health levitra wholesale cute-n-tiny.com problems that may cause pain. This type of treatment is often used for advanced cases of prostate cancer to shrink tumors and slow down their growth or sildenafil cost in early stages of which can be slowed or reversed with medication, while more advanced cases may be amenable to hair transplantation. It contains Sildenafil Citrate that helps in making the erections last longer by viagra purchase canada relaxing blood vessels and increasing the blood circulation to the penis. And what about the defense?  They played admirably last year under Fangio… and we had very little talent.  This year, the defense has been infused with some talent.  I’m sorry, and yes I may be biased, but I’m thinking with the new talent, and the genius of Fangio, this could be a top 10 unit…. OK, at least top half in the NFL.

So we have some playmakers and a much improved defense on a team that won 6 games last year.  That 7.5 win total in Vegas… yeah, I’m taking the over here.  Do you remember how the Bears got those 6 wins last year?  5 wins on the road… a winning record on the road?!?!  Doesn’t that stand for something?  Yes, I know the flip side of that argument, and the 1-7 home record.  That was absolutely pitiful.  But the fact that THAT Bears team was able to win on the road last year with some consistency should bode well headed into this year, no?

So kill me if I’m still believing in this Bears team.  Go ahead, call me a meatball fan.  I don’t care.  And for all those people burying the Bears already, haven’t you learned anything?  Haven’t you learned that out of all major sports leagues, the NFL is so unpredictable.  Check Fox’s second year records with each of his past 2 teams too; bad comparison?  Maybe.  But all I’m saying is that I think the Bears can have a solid year this year.  I think we will have stuff to cheer for.  Playoffs?  Hey… I won’t rule them out yet.  After all, every team in the NFL right now is tied for first… we’re also tied for last, but I guess it’s just the way you look at things.  The forecast for the Bears is much argued.  I’m not worried.  I’m looking forward to a good year.  Bear Down Baby!

Preseason football and records mean nothing. The regular season is what counts and that starts on Sunday. I am looking forward to see what the offense can do with white and alshon catching and langford rushing. We already know what to expect with cutler. And how bout the D? They should only get better with fangio and more talent. Over 7.5 wins sure sounds doable. No bridgewater for the viqueens. Lions always find ways to lose and no calvin. The pack suck regardless. So get ready for some Bears football. Yes, the Cubs are number one now and for the next few months, but nothing beats Bears football. I am looking forward to another season and think it will be a good one. Playoffs for sure…BEAR DOWN!!!
