Remember when the Cubs were losing 100 games in a season? Remember when the Sox were too? Remember when the Blackhawks were still in the playoffs? Remember when the Bulls made them? Remember when the Bears made them?
If you’re a fan long enough, you’ve pretty much seen it all. You remember a lot, and try to forget some too. The good times, the bad times, it’s all part of it. Remember the good, forget the bad, and enjoy the present.
Remember playing baseball when you were a kid? I do. There are lots of good memories there. It all starts with my Mom; the person I spent Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm growing up with. She took the time to play catch with me in the backyard. She pitched to me. It’s there where I learned to play the game. It’s those days where I learned a whole lot. I appreciate it so much. Thanks Mom.

It’s his turn to spend all that quality time with his mother. I was so blessed to have my mother home with me as my dad worked; I’m glad we are able to give that same blessing to my son. For those 40+ hours every week, it’s mother son time; I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t be more appreciative of my wife, and that quality time she spends with our son. Thank you!
And in the spirit of appreciation on this Mother’s Day, I remember. I remember the Bears in the playoffs and how great that is. I hope this is the year we return. I hope I see another Super Bowl in my lifetime. I look for the Bulls play hard again. No reason they can’t get right back where they belong considering the conference strength. Although it has improved, it’s not out of our range. And the Blackhawks, think they’ll be fine.
I look forward to an exciting summer. I think every single baseball fan in Chicago has something to be excited about. It has been a long time…like never, when both teams have been this good. Yeah, it’s early, but it’s still fun. It’s fun talking about 100 wins, and not losses. Play ball boys.
Yeah, life is pretty good. Blue skies, in the 60s today, clean car, flowers, food, family. I’ll always remember these days. I cherish all the memories and look forward to many more. Happy Mother’s Day to all.

Summer in Chicago with both teams playing well should be fun. Can either team get much hotter as the weather does, too?
Hawks, Bulls, and Bears can enjoy the offseason and come back with something to prove later this year. In the meantime, just enjoy the early roll the Cubs and sox are on and hope things continue as summer approaches.
