February 9, 2016: Bull Dive

This is getting hard to watch.  Nuggets, Wolves, Hornets. 3 straight losses. 2-5 road trip. 6th seed in the East?!?  Wait it gets better.

Noah has been done. Niko is out for a while. Buckets will now miss 3-4 weeks. Then you got Rose missing games because of general soreness. Yep, it’s like an all out nose dive.

I really hate to do this, but it all started when they fired Thibs.  Yeah, I’m still not over it. It’s only going to get worse when some other team hires him and he has success.  The Knicks were one of the latest.  Not sure how much him and Phil would see eye to eye, but he will coach again. It’s only a matter of time.

He was a damn good coach and we fired him.  Now it’s FredBerg or bust. He comes in to a ready made team and takes a more hands off approach.  No more of the Do Your Job, it’s more like please try harder.  The team that was fire tested by Thibs, now gets a dose of whipped cream. That ain’t working. Thibs wasn’t the problem.

Injuries were of course. Coaching a team where your best player misses more than he plays, entire years, is tough to overcome. And at the end of the day, because we couldn’t win, the strong personality was tossed.

Now the injury bug has bit again. Our best player, Buckets, is out a month. It’s bad enough the slide we’ve been on.  Now throw this in there. It’s bad enough the slide we’re on, and short handed, and you have the most injured player of all time missing a game, a game that could have stopped our skid, could have ended the road trip on a high note, because of general soreness?!?  Maybe that’s his new name:  General Soreness or Sore Spot.

Yeah, he’s been playing better. But the wins aren’t there and when we need him to step up, he sits out. We’ve seen this before. It’s cost one coach his job…it won’t cost this one.  Derrick will go before he does.  Maybe that’s the choice GarPax should have made this offseason.

Now the Bulls find themselves barely holding on to a playoff spot, with more short handed games to come. The Bull dive may continue.

It’s been very frustrating to watch, but as I’ve mentioned, predictable. If you don’t expect much, you won’t be as disappointed.  That’s where I’m at and that’s a crappy place to be.

someone involved with this team has to realize that these games are actually 4 quarters long and not just 3 quarters and 5 minutes!!!!

Bulls were already inconsistent. Now, they are banged up on top of that. Niko and noah probably done for the year. Buckets out a month. Pau takes games off to rest. Drose takes games off because he is sore and to rest. Im tired of trying to make excuses for him. He should be taking a rest from all that brick building he does shooting treys. He cant be sore from jumping because he doesn’t dunk or carrying this club on his back because he can’t. Freddie has no answers because he has lost this club. This is the area of expertise that thibs would be great at. Rely on the defense and work together on offense…use the heart, hustle, and muscle attitude to win games. Too bad he isn’t here, and freddie stuck in a neverending cyclone (iowa state reference for those that care). Bulls need to find a way…can they? Will they? Do they care? We shall see…
