I certainly didn’t think it was going to happen. With Buckets sidelined, I was already chalking this one up. They sure gave the Kings every opportunity, but they refused to accept. The Bulls held on to win a surprising game in Sacramento without their best player.
Sac-Town has been a house of horrors for the Bulls. The Kings haven’t just been beating us there, they’ve been beating us to a pulp. 30 point losses were becoming habitual in northern Cali. So when Cousins and Rondo were announced in, and Butler was scratched, I was thinking more of the same.
Sacramento had been beating us so bad, I started to hate them. There’s that word again…when will the next Hate File be? The Kings wiggled off that hook with the loss Wednesday night. I still dislike them, especially Cousins. What a thug. He’s damn talented though. He’s been putting up monster numbers, and had an awesome dunk on this night. He helped keep the Kings within striking distance, and when Marco hit the three and got fouled by Moore, I thought for sure we were done for.
The Bulls held the lead most of the night. That was pretty shocking. Maybe the biggest surprise has been E’twaun Moore. I even have to make sure I spell his name right; he’s earned it. He had a big game and was the leading scorer. Another local product, right across the Indiana border, he was really good last night. He’s been good for a while now, since being inserted into the Bulls 3 guard starting lineup. He outshined (outshone?) even Rose and Gasol on this night.

Who woulda thunk it? But that’s been the story of this team most of the year. Just when you think they’re getting it together, they fall on their faces. Just when you think they hit the gutter, they bounce back. Yes, they are truly the Improba-Bulls.
I like that playing on words. I’ve used that many times in my blog titles, especially with the Bulls. I always thought at the very least, I could come up with some catchy titles…better than the ones I see.
So the road trip continues on Friday in The Mile High City…literally now. Buckets should be back, and then Dunleavy will be back this weekend. Stringing a couple wins together? It’s anybody’s guess. Go Bulls!

Moore gave the Bulls a big shot in the arm, and the Bulls got a much deserved win to get to 2-2 on the road trip. Time to string some victories together and play consistent bball. It really is maddening when your team goes on a roller coaster ride all year…time for that long climb to the top Bulls!
