Whew… it was scary, but the Bulls finally did get a much needed win over the Clippers. It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win, and we will take it. For now, the Bulls have stopped the bleeding…
It’s been a rough week for Los Toros. 3 losses in a row to Charlotte, Phoenix, and Boston, 2 of the 3 at the UC. What’s going on? No, I’m not going to bring up the fact that they fired one of the best coaches in the NBA. I’m not going to do it. I swear… oh wait… Moving forward with FredBerg is where we need to be focused. Thibs will not be walking back in that door screaming DO YOUR JOB. The decision has been made, and Freddy boy is our man. Has he been the problem?
I would say not entirely. Everybody is involved with these losing streaks, as there is plenty of blame to pass around. I bet Hoiberg dreads those post game press conferences after each and every loss. Nothing goes by without notice in this town. I’m sure as Mayor of Ames you got attention, but a few hundred miles east in Chicago, we see everything.

Today, specialization courses are introduced for every field which allows a man to stay erect for 4 to 6 hours even http://downtownsault.org/the-kemp-marina/ viagra online sometimes more. Let’s start with the starting lineup. Does it really matter, or is it all about who finishes not starts the game? One thing I can say, and even this I go back and forth on, is that the starters should not change from game to game. Now if you’re Joe Maddon managing through an entire 162, lineups will change from week to week, day to day, depending on matchups… and I think that’s great. I’m feeling a little different about basketball though. There’s only 5 guys that get the start. I don’t think this should be changed on a daily basis, but if there is a change, it should be more of a permanent one. So if Taj is starting vs Nikola, then let Taj start. Let’s not rotate every game. Let it run a couple weeks. I don’t think we should change the lineup for each game. Let the starters be starters… whoever they are. Remember Keith Bogans? He was not one of the 5 best players on that team, but he started every, single game. Everybody knows what their job is when they come into work, and knows what role they will be playing. So whether it’s Niko, Taj, or as many have said, Joakim who should be in that starting lineup, just pick one. Although he throws up wild shots and acts like a soccer player when he tries to draw a foul, I like Niko. He gives it his all, sometimes trying to do too much, but he’s giving it 110%, and that’s all we can ask for. I kind of like him being the 6th man… 1st guy off the bench. I love Taj too, but would probably lean towards Jo starting over him. Let’s see how the Taj thing works out… and OUCH by the way… that was a rough foul by Blake Griffin. I don’t think he should have been tossed for it, but it was a careless play that really cleaned Taj’s clock.
OK.. moving on… the biggest problem if it isn’t the slow starts, it’s the bad finishes. They cannot finish games, and almost blew it against LA. I’m not sure if it’s been decided who the man should be at the end of the game, but obviously that should be Buckets. Rose is looking more and more like an average player, and that one handed shot at the end of the Phoenix game was not, and should not be option #1 down the stretch. He did play better without his mask, or was it the TNT thing… his best game of the season was vs OKC on TNT. And another thing… I’m so sick of the drive and kick. I understand that it’s a good play if you’re creating an open shot for your teammate, but enough already. It’s like they take turns driving and kicking, driving and kicking… I have an idea. How about driving and FINISHING! THIS is what’s needed at the end of the game in my opinion, whether it be Pau, Derrick, or Jimmy… take it to the rack.
So back on the winning side of the ledger feels good, it stops the bleeding, and takes a little pressure off. But, that spotlight is far from gone. We’re watching closely, and the next test is the Pelicans. Who will cover Anthony Davis by the way? I don’t think the league has a good answer so I don’t expect Fredberg to. Just win. Let’s string a few together. Let’s start gelling in the new system. Let’s start tracking in the right direction… up and away from that 8 seed in the East. GO Bulls!

no matter what you say, most of those guys were here last year, and have apparently forgotten all of those ‘play defense’ drills. losing 3 straight in the 4th qtr is inexcusable no matter what the current game plan is. giving up 30 points in the 4th qtr is ridiculous and probably had Thibs rolling over. no hustle, no drive, no defense = no wins !!! kinda like last nite’s hawks game vs the preds !
Thibs
How quickly these guys forget…Do. Your. Job!
There is nothing wrong with trying to score more, but when the shots aren’t falling, isn’t it easier to rely on defense? Yes, this is an offense first league, but I take offense to that. People always talk about going on offensive runs, but you can go on defensive run, too. There are no short cuts. If you want to do something special, there’s a serious price to pay. There’s no way around it. And I will leave you with this, you have to have core values. What do you believe in? Do you believe in hard work? Do you believe in discipline? Do you believe in conditioning? Because those are the things I know that do work. Unfortunately, those things can get you fired with these primadonnas nowadays!
