November 26, 2015: Week 12 Bears at Packers

So this is how we will spend turkey day?  Hopefully we will spend the day with family, being thankful for all of our blessings, stuffing our face, taking a nap, and waking up to put our Bears jersey on and watch the Bears play the Pack in Lambeau. I’m worried.

I’m worried because I don’t want to end a great day on a bad note. I don’t want to get sick to my stomach that will be full of good food. I don’t want to watch another beatdown at their hands. I’m not that worried; I don’t think we’ll see one.

Let’s start with this. Bears +8 is my play.  My point again is the Bears have played close games all year, including last week. Depending on when you got the line last week, you may not have lost your money.  A two point loss to a solid team. The Bears are in every game. So 8 points is too much, especially in this game, especially after last year’s game here.

I’d like a little revenge for dessert if you don’t mind.  Speaking of dessert, how about Eddie Lacy?  You think he’s had his fair share of sweets and more this year as he tries to eat himself out of the NFL.  It looked like Starks was going to be starting. After shutting him down tonight, I want to see Lacy do his best work at the dinner table, and keep ballooning. That’s not a nice thing to say today.

Speaking of revenge, I was there when they (and the weather) ruined the retirement of Butkus and Sayers numbers. Let’s spoil the party for the #4 cheesehead and Packer fans everywhere.  I hated Favre. Besides the Monday Night game against the Raiders where he threw for a bunch of TDs after learning of his fathers death (that was cool), I couldn’t stand this guy.  Maybe Corey Wooten can be part of the ceremonies, slamming him down one more time.  Or maybe we can finally beat them, with their present QB at the helm.  Let this be a game that we will remember for all the right reasons. Let’s get our signature win of the year.

Forte is back. Alshon is back. Now Marty is out, but with superstar Zack Miller we should be ok.  Cutler sucks against the Pack.  If this will truly be looked at as his best year as a Bear, his most consistent year, this win tonight is a must. Big game on a big stage on a big day; let’s see Jay come through now.

Final Score Prediction:  Bears 27 Packers 24

Ace in the Hole:  Forte 100+ yds and 2 TDs

You surely didn’t think that I was going to pick the Pack to win…on Thanksgiving Day against our Bears. Never that…never that.

Enjoy the game everybody and enjoy the day.  Let’s remember all the reasons we have to be thankful, and hopefully we’ll get one more before the night ends…and no I’m not talking about that 90″ TV. Happy Thanksgiving and Bear Down!
