There! Take that all you doubters… Yes, I know I picked against the Bears this week too. Although I am not that surprised that they won, since they have been playing close games all year, I am surprised in the way they won. It was a dominating performance in Soldier Field south, as the Bears crushed the Rams 37-13.
I’m not going to start talking playoffs or anything like that, but I am very pleased with the way the Bears are playing this year. The Bears left the circle of trust for a year. I hated last year’s team. They were a pathetic excuse for a football team. If interested, check out the Hate Files that will tell you all you need to know about last year’s team (http://www.thelocalsportstalk.com/december-31-2014-the-hate-files-xiii/).
This year is a totally different ball game. This is an easy team to get behind, besides Cutler, although even he is… more on him later. The coaching staff knows what they are doing. The boys are out there giving it their all. It’s very easy to cheer for a team like this. I see the improvement from week to week. Although there is not a lot of talent on this team, it is very young, and maybe we have more talent than we think we did. At the end of the day, it all adds up to a 4-5 record… It feels like we should be better than that.
Well, yeah, because we blew those 2 games. It pisses me off even more now… now that this season is starting to become more meaningful. Had we finished those 2 games off, we would have won 6 in a row, and have been tied for the lead in the NFC Central. Yeah, then I’d be talking playoffs. But for now, I’m just happy we’re winning again. I’m just happy that the arrow is pointed up. I’m excited to see how good this team can be.

The bad thing about it, is that this may be the only year we have our OC Gase. Let’s not worry about that now, but what would that mean to all the progress we’ve seen with this team, especially with our QB Jay Cutler.
Yeah, and about Jay… is he back in the circle of trust? I had this text conversation with a friend today, who loves to pump him up. Here’s the deal, without killing the good feelings going on right now: I’ve always supported Cutler. I’ve always cheered for him because he is our QB. But, until he brings us a Super Bowl victory, the answer is NO. The NFC Championship remains forever etched in my head, plus the last 6 years of failure. It’s a start, but we have ways to go here.
Langford? IN; this guy is tremendous. I still love Forte and don’t think we should have been trying to dump him, but… the way Jeremy has looked along with Carey, our RBs all of a sudden look like a position of strength. Zach Miller? IN; Where the heck have you been all of our lives? What an awesome TD reception for the 2nd week in a row. And oh yeah, he added another later in the game. Our defense? One foot in. Still don’t have enough talent to be a great defense, but I like what I’m seeing, especially today. They actually played with confidence. When is the last time we have seen our defense play with confidence? Our special teams? NO; I like Mariani, but he’s got to wake up, and our coverage teams still have to build up a little more trust. Robbie Gould? He lives in this circle. Haha..
Another week and another win. Again, looking at the rest of the schedule, there are wins to be had. Enough wins to make a playoff push? Talk to me after Thanksgiving. In the meantime, let’s enjoy what we’re watching. The Bears are back IN, and Sundays are becoming fun again. Bear down baby, Bear Down!

How bout them BEARS!!! Not the most talented team, but they are well coached and play with heart and effort each and every week. 3 wins in a row that very easily have been 6. Oh well, reality of it is that they were not good enough to win those 2 games…woulda, coulda, shoulda. Record of 4-5 instead of 6-3, but this team has life. Denver comes to town next week after a horrible showing at home vs kc. If the Bears can get back to .500 with a Turkey night showdown vs the struggling fudgepacks, I would definitely be ready for more wine and cheese that night!
BEAR DOWN!!!

Who said 6-10 bears??? Damn, I did! Looking like 8-8 again bear fans! No playoffs, bad draft picks, and drowning again in mediocrity for 2016. Probably should have won a few more games when you look back, but they didn’t. It looks like they finally got a good coach though. Bears have very few skilled players and Fox is certainly getting the most out of them. Go Bears and take the Cubs with ya!
Mo
Ur cowboys are better? Oh wait maybe the SUX are…HA!
LD#19
Cowboys do suck and we know why? All Bears are on the field and there is no end to your mediocrity. Your only allowed to talk about Chicago teams on this site anyway. Your all still reliving 1985; the last year I was a bear fan. Wake up, their a shadow of that team so are many others.
JEFFK
Yeah, we know why… cause Jerry Jones is a jack ass, and they are the most overrated team in professional sports every year. Cowboys suck buddy… you’re a long way from Dallas.
Mo
Mediocrity? Jerry Jones’ ego + Dez Bryant’s attitude – Tony Romo’s never rising to the occasion in big game situations = Dallas Sucks! Time for you to come home and Bear down LD19!

I concur. Cowgirls hugely overrated and do suck. Reliving 1985 is therapuetic during these rough times, just like the 90s for the girls. Neither team going anywhere this year, but with jerry and lame ass coach in dallas, I like the Bears chances of winning before the girls! BEAR DOWN!!!
