November 5, 2015: Charlotte Blues Kings

posted in: Blackhawks, Bulls | 1

Have you heard this new band?  They are awesome and even better live.  I saw them in concert the other day, and… Ok already. No new band. Just the opponents the last 3 nights for our bulls and blackhawks. Got to mix it up…get a little creative. Ok, on to the blog.

We’ll start with Monday’s Hawks kings game. I caught a good portion of it. Saw Kane’s wrister over Quicks glove, and an even nicer pass to Teuvo for his goal. It didn’t really seem like an early season matchup.

Kings had won 7 in a row before the Hawks took it to them. Without Keith and Hossa, it was a really nice win. People are predicting the Kings to be back in the Finals. Is this the year we settle business with them in the playoffs?  Winners of 5 of the last 6 Stanley Cups, having went through one another on their way to one of them, are we going to get that rubber match?  I’m game.

On Tuesday night, it was a road tilt for Los Toros. We were roadkill. What the heck happened in this one?  A 25 point loss to a previously winless Bobcat squad. It wasn’t pretty. You live by the three and you die by the three. Just shoot the ball seems to be one of hoibergs instructions. When you’re not hitting your shots, like every Bull not named Jimmy butler on this night, you need to play defense. That will keep you in games. Of course, it’s a lot of want involved, and we weren’t interested.  Jeremy Lamb?  Cody Zeller?  Ugly ugly game. But while I wasn’t awarding coach of the year after the first 2 games, I’m certainly not firing anyone here. It’s still early. I need to see a little more. Okc is here on Thursday; better want to play some defense then, or it will be uglier.

That brings us to the Blues on Wednesday night. So much for not missing much in the first period. I was watching an episode of Bubble Guppies with my son, good show by the way, before I flipped the boys on. 5-2 Hawks after one?!?  Damn and Yes!
There is loads of cheerleading going on and porn plays in the background to keep Hugh all online pharmacy sildenafil levitra on line report excited during the session. When I tuned back in, it was 5-3…then 5-4…then 5-5 and the 2nd period came to an end. Should I end this blog right now?  Kind of like that morning newspaper when the teams are out west. You don’t know how the games ended… Guess I could wait before publishing this edition. 3rd period about to begin.

So all those goals and no points for toews?  Nice save by the blues goalie.  Little tussle for Shaw.  Is this headed OT?  5 minutes left.  You know who is scoring if we get there…

Well, I’m out of breath.  Talk about fast and furious and like that, the Hawks OT record is no longer perfect.  Blowing a 3 goal lead to let St Louis get 2 pts in the standings.  Toews almost had another…

So there is your 3 game summary.  Don’t look up the band name, just keep reading this blog.  Bears preview next.

Hawks up and down start to the season continues. The talent is still there, but they need to find that team chemistry and some line continuity. Not having keith hurts, too. No worries, though, the season is young. Road to the Cup still comes through Chicago!
As for the Bulls, how the hell do you give up 130 points to charlotte?!? Seriously!?! Running and gunning is one thing, but playing matadors on defense is another. Have some pride and get some stops!
    GO HAWKS and BULLS!!!
