October 5, 2015: Hungry Heart

So I’m sitting here trying to think of a title for the blog that will start the week. The week that will have 3 long days until Wednesday night. Is there a fast forward button?

Just typing the date in this title, and knowing what I’m going to talk about makes me smile. Yeah, I’m happy the Bears won, but I’m talking Cubs baseball and it’s October!  It’s been 7 years since this has happened, and the first time since I’ve started this here old blog back at the beginning of last year’s baseball season. THIS is what it’s all about.

Yes, the Blackhawks run has been awesome, and even more awesome to document here, but it’s not the same. I don’t have the same history with them; Dollar Bill Wirtz cost a lot of us of that.  But we’re in there now no doubt.  I’m documenting the Bears 30 year anniversary…30 years!  I remember, but man, that’s a long time ago. The Bulls reigned in the 90s and watching Jordan was second to none. But this is the Cubs we’re talking about here.

It’s what I’m waiting for.  I’ve seen it all, yet I’ve never seen this. Yes, I’ve seen Cubs playoff baseball, and that story always has a sad ending.  Our hearts crushed one way or another.  Now we start down the path again.

This may one of the reasons why many reputed healthcare provider prefer Kamagra over many other anti-impotent drugs available pfizer viagra tablets in the market but the best place to buy such pills is online. More importantly, she should more supportive and caring generic cialis in canada in such trying times. order generic levitra opacc.cv Somme surveys have also suggested low testosterone, wrong lifestyle, lacking of physical exercise, alcohol, additional medication, nicotine may also cause the condition in men. Shun the buy levitra no prescription check these guys use of alcohol. That path may only be one game. With a one game playoff in store for this 97 win Cubs team, anything can happen in 9 innings. Coming into this game with an 8 game winning streak, with a starter on the hill that’s been unhittable since the all star break, I really can’t feel much better…we have our best chance in this one, right?

Right, except now the wait. The wait that has been as many years as you and I have been alive, now adds 3 more days. 3 more days until 163. I’m not sure how I’m going to make it.  How am I going to concentrate on anything else until then?  It’ll be 3 of the longest days that’s for sure.

And trying to get down these feelings into words on this iPad…should be easy enough, yet what more can I say that hasn’t been said.  I’m sure I’ll figure it out  I’ll channel this anxiety here.  I’ll breathe, relax, and pass the time through  this daily entry.  Only 2 more to write after this one.  2 more to write before Jake takes the hill again.  It’s 110% Cubs right now, and I’m zoned in…waiting.

So back sitting here, watching Wedding Singer, and the song Hungry Heart comes on. Yeah, that sounds about right.

    The Young and the Restless

Anxious and excited! Both will be building the next few days. The Cubs are back in the playoffs with a 1game opportunity to play some more October baseball. The Cubs have shown they can win, 97 games so far, but they have not experienced the playoffs. This young group has a few vets who have been there, but like they have said, there is nothing to explain other than actually experiencing it. The young CUBBIES get their chance on Wed, here’s hoping they are not as restless as Cubs nation!
    GO CUBS GO!!!
