Ok so the Cubs magic number is still 3. They lost Wednesday night; I’m not worried. The thing is, I can’t stop thinking about Tuesday night.
It made me think about the top 10 best games I’ve ever attended… It’s going to be really, really tough to beat number one. Being in attendance during Game 6 of the 1992 NBA Finals as the Bulls won their 2nd championship is almost untouchable… almost. The Monday Night Dennis Green They are who we thought they were Bears Cardinals game is currently ranked #2… there could be an argument to put this game above that one. At the very least, this game enters the list at #3.. ahead of the previous best Cubs game I have ever attended.
That game was during the last year the Cubs made the playoffs. The late August game vs the Phillies when Aram hit that grand slam… come on, you have to remember that one. Anyways, Jake’s 20th tops it. It was the best baseball game I’ve ever seen in person; I can honestly say that. It makes me feel like getting tickets this weekend, driving up to Milwaukee, going to 163, and saving up for more… It’s exhilirating… the stuff you put straight into your veins. It’s the type of stuff where you don’t need to be drunk, to feel totally drunk. That’s how I felt that night at the Stadium… too young to drink, although I did slam a beer after the game. That’s how I felt that night in Arizona… too hungover to drink, but sure did feel buzzed. Last night got me to that level… where I was floating all day today… still am.
I could totally write about the Cubs every day from here on out. Forget the 1985 Bears tribute feature, the against the spread feature, or even the coverage of the current Bears team. I want to throw it all to the wind right now, and go straight Cubs 100% from here on out. Heck, start a new website, a new blog, dedicated just to that. Will this season turn out to be THE season?

DOSAGE The dosage pattern viagra prices is generally quite simple. It’s thinking about that, that made me start this blog back on Wrigley’s 100th anniversary. It’s that passion that made me look for an outlet… somewhere I can express these crazed feelings of a die hard… somewhere I can share those. It’s here. It’s why I fight hard to do this every single day. Too many times my day job gets in the way; maybe one day THIS will be my day job.
By the way, you know Jake Arrieta’s 2nd half ERA of 0.8 something would be the lowest of ALL TIME in the majors? Like I said, I’ll take Jake against anybody for 163. Even though it’s one game, and anything could happen… even though it sucks to rest the performance of 162 games on 9 innings… it’s all good. Who else would you rather have on the mound? Have to take our chances, and let it ride. Let It Ride, now there’s a good casino game.
That’s all we can do. Like a commenter said yesterday, we’re trained for failure, but ready to win… win it all… the unexpected. It’s the holy grail of all championships. We were talking… thinking about all the die hard Cub fans. Heck, neither of us are 40 yet, but what about those that are 60, 70, 80 years old… still hoping, still cheering, still waiting… ready to go on this roller coaster ride again… the one that never has a good ending. What about those people? What about all the die hards who never saw one in their lifetime? What about them?
It all goes away with one. As I was saying, this could be the one. This could be the end of it all, and the beginning of the rest. I am ready. We all are.

Offense has to pick up the pace. only 1 run against the Brew-crew is embarrassing. Rizzo, Bryant, Castro, all have to show why they belong in the playoffs.
In my eyes, Jakes game comes in 2nd, next to Wood’s 20K game is ’98. This just proves that when you go to a CUBS game, you never know what’s going to happen!
GO CUBS GO!!
