In taking a look at week 2 games in the NFL, I have a better feeling. Week 1 is a tough week to handicap, although if you read what happened last week, and believe it, Papa Vegas took one on the chin as the favorites ruled.
I don’t like favorites, so if I picked more games last week, I would have been crushed. As it was, I finished with a split…a 1-1 record. We’re going to be picking some familiar teams in week 2.
At Buffalo +1 New England
I’m buying Buffalo…at home. Two different teams typically, and they showed that in week 1 against Indy. The mighty Pats won week one, led be Brady and gronk. Yet, the Pats always have a tough time in Buffalo, as do most teams. Knocking off 2 Super Bowl contenders in 2 weeks? Yep!
Arizona -1.5 at Chicago
Yeah, I know. I know if I was betting, I would not bet against my team. I also know betting on my team has cost me a ton of money. Bears will be better than we think, I really believe that. Thing is, Arizona is good. Think Green Bay was ripe for the picking, and still is (see below), and we failed to take advantage. Cards have a better D, and many offensive weapons. Yeah, it’s not Aaron back there, but Carson ain’t no slouch. I’m a little worried about Sunday as a Bear fan.

Seattle +3.5 at Green Bay
Rematch of the Bostick game. Maybe he can be an honorary seattle captain this week. How awesome would that be? Big time revenge spot, at home, against a Seattle team coming off a tough loss, and Vegas is telling us they’re only a half point better? I smell a trap. Seahawks as dogs are the play.
At Indianapolis -7 New York Jets
Another prime time game is where we go for the final pick of the week. The Jets had a nice opening week win as they shutdown Johnny manziel. They’ll face somebody a bit different this week coming off a beatdown. Now the jets may score some points, but luck will prevail…and cover the TD at home on Monday night.
As we double up on our games this week, we try to get ahead. Remember .500 is not bad, but with the juice, it’s still losing. We need to hit at a 2/3 rate to make some real money. Oh yeah, no money here.. Just pride and some bum picks. Good luck.
