August 12, 2015: Wake Up

posted in: Cubs, White Sox | 1

The day starts about 5am.  As I stumble out of bed, or off the couch, I hit the john, then grab my dogs leash. It’s time for the morning walk. I try not to read my phone, either phone, as I postpone the checking of emails for a little while longer.  Let’s enjoy this early AM stroll.  Really, I should turn this stroll into a jog and get both myself and my mutt the exercise we need.

Returning home, what’s next?  How will this morning play out?  Today I choose breakfast, which is always a bowl of cereal. I’m a cerealholic if you may, with about 20 boxes currently for me to choose from. Raisin Bran fills my bowl as I pull up the iPad. It’s the same things I check each morning…my emails, words with friends, my fantasy team, and espn Chicago.

Today the top story is the Cubs; it has been for a while. Now at 15 games over 500, this season is building excitement for all of us.  We should know better, but we can’t help ourselves. The hope is that this is finally the year. One year we’ll be right.

The Sox have won two in a row. Rodon pitched a good game, so that means his next start will be bad. The inconsistent, maddening play of the White Sox has to be driving their fans crazy. Then you add on the Cubs performance thus far, and I’m sure more Sox fans are ready for football. There is this weekend, which finishes the crosstown matchup in the cell.  You’re welcome in advance for filling the stadium for a change.

Generally, come across cheap cialis the one which manages numerous troubles as is possible. I’d take this time to write my blog too sometimes. Today, this is being done standing on the train heading to work. I used to talk crap about those people…always on their phone…can’t just stand there.  And now here I go, but at least I’m not texting or playing video games, but they don’t know that. Right now I’m crunched…barely have enough room to finish this post.

Although tonight I will see many old friends, I’d rather not. I’d rather not be telling a friend goodbye.  I’d rather be at home watching the Cubs kick Garzas teeth in. Not tonight.

I wake up and usually would be ecstatic about the Cubs record and promise, but instead, am feeling bummed. But hey, this just shows me to cherish every day above ground…enjoy every moment and stop bitching about the small stuff. You never know when it can all change. By the way, I predict a loss for the Cubs tonight.

Cubs are red hot right now…keep it going and roll right into the playoffs, please. Train time is definitely phone time. Sometimes it is a book. Sometimes it should be a nap but rarely is. Have to kill that hour somehow…netflix and SOA it is right now. However you spend your commute, enjoy it…better than going nowhere.
