The running of the Bulls… ever want to do that? Do they still do that, or has animal cruelty stopped it? Or maybe enough people have gotten gorged? I don’t know; I don’t care. The only Bulls I’m worried about are the Chicago Bulls; they’re running… somewhere… and not fast either.
I think the last time we talked Bulls was after their embarrassing defeat to the Pistons at home; then they lost again to Detroit by a little less… still almost 20. I hate this fricking team. They came back from the break and lost close games to the Knicks and the Suns, before absolutely punishing the 76ers; I’m glad to see one team worse off than the Bulls, let me tell you. The Bulls were up by 50 at one point!!! Lose to the Pistons by 40, go up on the Sixers by 50? What would happen if the Pistons met the Sixers? Haha… That’s not exactly how it works. And hey, I wasn’t complaining to be on the other side of a blowout; that felt good… weird too. On Wednesday night at the UC, another close loss, this time to the Clippers. I don’t even know what to say any more.
I like Matas; let’s start with the positive. He’s still very raw, but I think we got something there; we’ll probably trade him a la Lauri… haha. How many guys are still playing in the NBA that played with the Bulls? We saw a couple during this game with Kris Dunn (remember him?) and Derrick Jones Jr (I liked him). Hopefully Matas is here to stay. To see him grow and get better is one of the only things I look forward to with this current team. Other than him… well, there is Josh Giddey. He’s a young dude too; he’s only 22 years old! I think maybe he can be part of the future too. Kind of backing off my “trade them all” claim… So Matas and Giddey… anybody else?
Well, Lonzo Ball was resigned; it was a reasonable deal (unlike Patrick Williams), so I guess I don’t mind that much. He does seem like a good teammate; he moves the ball… he plays defense. Will he stay healthy? If we get 50 games per from him, that’ll be a lot. We’ve gotten the bare minimum on our recent deals, Caruso, DD, Zach… could have put us in a little better position going forward had we negotiated a little better; at least that’s what I think. Now we’re not going to get anything for Vooch? Zack Collins… looked OK in this one; put him in the hall, put him in the hall of fame… haha.
It just kind of is what it is with the Bulls; we’re barely play-in worthy with no end in sight. This feels… great. In my last post, I wondered when the Blackhawks will be back in the postseason; in this one, I ask the same about the Bulls, and play-in don’t count! I’m talking top 6 in the East. Next year? I’m not holding my breath. That covers both UC teams… but, but… baseball is right around the corner. Will Chicago have a winner then? Stay tuned.
