Here we go again. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6… do I hear 7? 7 losses in a row? After a 4-2 start that had us all excited, the Bears have torpedoed in historic fashion, taking their offensive coordinator, head coach, and some scrub ass free agent offensive lineman with them. At 4-8, the Bears need to win out to get my over 8.5 win total. I’m here to tell you… it ain’t happening. Thanks captain obvious. Normally, a team will get a little bump from a mid-season coach firing, something the Bears haven’t done in like forever. Not saying we should do more in-season coach firings, but in this case, it was justified, and in fact, well over due. Now that the deed is done, we can look ahead… to what exactly? Well, an afternoon in San Francisco against a potentially more disappointing team in the 49ers.
First off, thank you for obliterating my division winning ticket on you San Fran, and that’s coming off a Super Bowl shitshow, as well as, a Super Bowl rematch bomb, which in combination, have causes some serious investment losses in my DK portfolio. Although the Bears have helped on that side of the ledger, they actually put money back in too. So betting with my heart is OK??? Not saying that, just saying that the Bears, for as bad as they’ve been, have shown effort. Now, with a new head coach, the thought would be this effort continues, heck, even grows, right? First off, DJ Moore and Deandre Swift may be out. Secondly, our offensive line just doesn’t get better overnight. Thirdly, the guy who has taken over as head coach, has been involved with the offense the whole year, except for that part when he was QB coordinator or something like that, but barely talked to Caleb Williams?!?! Whatever.
The Niners are in deep trouble, not only in the division, but in the playoff picture, which in all likelihood, will only feature the division winner in the NFC West. Let’s just put it this way; they need a small miracle, especially with their top 2 RBs out; hope you grabbed their starter this week for fantasy purposes. This year’s Niners have been the Webster definition of “super bowl hangover”; they have been a shell of themselves. Will they find themselves this week in the Disappointment Bowl?
Final Score Prediction: 49ers 23 Bears 20
Ace in the Hole: Caleb Williams escapes this game without injury
49 sacks this year? 49?!?! I love the 5 interception number, but my God, talk about taking a beating. Nobody in the league can top that number! I want Caleb to stay healthy first and foremost. Him getting injured would be about the only way this season could get any worse. Stay healthy, and we’re on the right track. And don’t tell me about this audition that Mr. 3rd position in 4 weeks is going to perform; he will not be the next Bears head coach. Maybe he can stick around as OC, pending who that guy is, but please don’t force feed that BS to me, although it is the Bears, and we are looking for a head coach, so expect the stupidest possible outcome… no offense. Bear Down.
