On to NFL Sunday we go… a “no-Bears” NFL Sunday; guess I can’t plant my ass in front of the TV for 3 hours to watch. I’ll still give it a try, and definitely be keeping an eye on things. Unlike College Football, where there are seemingly 100 games, the NFL gives us a max of 16 per week; it’s a lot easier to focus, yet… the lines are that much tighter. Yes, College has been getting more popular, but don’t think the money has passed up the NFL, at least not yet. Maybe the big college games may get more action than some of the “blah” NFL ones, but in general, the amount of money on the line in each and every NFL game is substantial. I’m always up to throw my pennies into the action; this Sunday was no different.
Like I mentioned, I’ve been getting impatient with my grinding along; maybe I need a break, but… not this Sunday. I had a game on my radar that I absolutely loved. Since I hit on the game I loved in College, maybe I can hit on this one too? Well, take a guess what this game was… It was a matchup that I already lost my ass on last year, in the Super Bowl. Yes, I loved the Niners in a revenge spot against those bastard Chiefs; easy come, easy go. Yes, I knew about the Chiefs record after a bye and Mahomes record as a dog… all trends come to an end. Yes, I felt the same way for the Super Bowl… you’d think I’d have learned my lesson. Nope. Get smacked down again by the Niners, and to make things worse, they lost some players during the game, and to make things worse, my division winner bet on Frisco is looking not so well; lots of games to play.
The other game I liked was Carolina; yeah, you can see how my Sunday went. You see, the thing is Daniels went down, which should have played well, but noooo… Mariota and the Commanders pounded the ever living shit out of the Panthers… brutal. And yes, I took the Jets on Sunday night… It was an NFL wipe out on Sunday. Back to work we go…
In my impatience, I had placed some more long term bets on the NFL, tying up a percentage of my bankroll. So besides losing more than winning lately, add in my long term bets, and the bankroll is looking thin. That’s OK though; we’ve been here before. The grind can wear you down, but just remember… it’s all about the grind… it’s a beautiful grind. Looking ahead to next week… Bears Commanders… I loved the Bears, but now Daniels may be out, which should lead me to love them more, but… betting on the Bears is tough, because my heart is 100% in. Still, my record thus far on betting on the Bears this year… 3-1 so far, so… we’ll see.
