So I wore my Bulls jacket to work today… I wanted to get at least one more wear out of it before the season ends. Now I’m not saying the season is going to end tonight… but just in case, I was able to wear it one more time for the 2014-2015 NBA season. I like to wear my sports gear in season…
Speaking of in season, finally announced the Hawks-Ducks schedule. I see Sunday is the opening game, which could also be the same day as Game 7 for the Bulls. If that’s the case, then half the weekend has been spoken for. I’m starting to hear all the talk about the Ducks now… They’re so good… this that and the other. Yeah, have to respect any team; we learned that lesson the hard way last year. But, enough about the Ducks and what about the Hawks? We are no slouches, and there is NO team that is above our level. So just bring it on… if we’re on our A game there is nobody that can beat us. I did say IF though…
Caught a little baseball yesterday. Cubs beat the Mets 3 straight. Weren’t the Mets just on a long winning streak? Yeah, so much for that. Looking for the 4 game sweep today. Somebody has been heating up by the way… The Messiah Kris Bryant has hit 3 dingers in 5 games. I was never worried about him, and his HR drought at the major league level, but glad to see him hitting the long ball. It was nice to see him christen the new left field bleachers in Wrigley the other night. I think the Cubs are in it for the long haul this year. St. Louis is St. Louis, and winning the division will be no easy task, but with the 10 wild card positions that are open (I’m not even sure the actual #), we should be in the discussion all year long.

Bravo! Quintana pitched like everybody expected him to pitch this year. That’s what it will come down to for both teams: the starting pitching. Samardzija hasn’t quite been what everybody expected him to be…. yet. Even Sale has been shaky. Definitely not worried about Sale, but Shark…. maybe he needs to sign that next big contract in the National League. I’m just hoping Rodon stays in the rotation. He’ll make another start Friday; let the kid play and send Noesi on his way. Danks hasn’t been too bad….
While we’re at it, what about the Bears? Who cares at this point I guess, but there is always something to be said with DA Bears. Personally, I was disappointed with the draft, but I could be wrong; that’s happened before…. I think. The good thing about this year, if you can call it a good thing, is that there are ZERO expectations. I’m sure we’ll be picked to finish at the bottom of the standings, so anything we get this year will be a positive. I guess it’s better to be happily surprised vs. horribly disappointed like last year. Cutler is still at the helm… with his 2015 built in excuse of a new offensive coordinator already in his back pocket. Let’s not worry about that right now.
There’s too much going on period. So I’m going to end my rambling now. I’m excited about tonight’s Bulls game. Elimination games are always fun and at the same time, grueling. To have your heart on the line… all your hopes for the season come down to a game is not for the faint of heart. You might as well start coming up with the excuses, or furthering yourself from the situation if you can’t handle it. I expected it all this year for the Bulls, and I will be truly disappointed if they don’t do it. It’s on the line tonight… GO BULLS!
