There is a reason why I’m amped up right now.  If you too watched the Bulls game, then you know why.  It’s about damn time we won a big game… it’s about damn time.

OK, so you can argue the Bulls have won plenty of big games in the playoffs for this recent vintage of Bulls teams.  Maybe not plenty, but a handful.  I’ll argue this was the biggest to date.  The only way I’ll be really happy is to trump this win going forward, but for tonight, I’m going to enjoy it.

Man, this was a good game.  I was locked and loaded for this one; caught every minute.  It was a defensive struggle of sorts.  The refs were letting them play for the most part, although the Queen did get his share of calls; of course he always looks for more.  For the record, I’m fine with letting them play, as long as it’s called that way on both sides of the court.  Defense had been the Bulls calling card until this year, and they put forth that same type of effort tonight.

The thing about this one is that the Cavs still hit some pretty big shots, and the Bulls missed a lot of shots.  The Cavs shot 41.2% from 3 pt land, but only 39% overall.  The Bulls… 37.8% overall, and a lousy 28.6% behind the line.  So the Bulls couldn’t buy a bucket, but they stepped up their D too.  The biggest stat of the night for me was the rebounds.  Yeah, Tristan Thompson was a beast on the offensive glass, but we still won that battle 18 to 9, and outrebounded them in total 54-39.  And turnovers you ask???  7… total.  The same number of turnovers we had in the 1st quarter on Wednesday night in Cleveland.  Ok enough numbers…

Gasol was pissing me off again in this one, then he goes out with an injury.  Has he not been 100% all this time?  Anyways, Taj Gibson played a man’s game.  He’s always been one of my favorites… you know, hard hat lunch pail.  He’s not scared either.  He was in there for maybe the entire 4th quarter.  Speaking of the 4th quarter, Rose and Jimmy carried us; that’s kind of the way it should be.  Besides Taj’s 2 big free throw makes, the other 23 points scored by the Bulls that quarter were by the star studded back court.  And at the end of that quarter, Rose made the GW 3 pointer.  I can’t lie… I wanted to see Jimmy get that ball, but Rose did, and he made the biggest shot of his career to this point.  Again, let’s trump that as we continue on…

I can’t end this without taking a shot at the player I hate the most in sports right now.  Wasn’t it great to see him blow a layup in the clutch then look to the jumbotron for a foul call?  So fricking sweet.  And how about Joakim going at him again after LBJ taunted him?  I’m sure Joakim called him what he really is…  That guy is the biggest baby I’ve ever seen.  The guy is a freak of nature, yet looks for a call every single time.  He flops around like a fish out of water too.  And he DID get a lot of calls in this one.  But… when it counted, as Lebron does many times in this situation… he choked.  I can’t lie…. that was a big shot to tie the game… by JR Smith.  Lebron blew a layup when it counted, and Jimmy played the best you could play against Lebron.  I’m almost feeling like we should change the strategy next game.  Take Butler off LeBron, and let him score as many as he wants.  He wants to be a distributor anyways…  This would give Buckets a little breather too, which maybe leads to a big offensive night for him.  The Cavs would never expect that with the way Butler has been defending him.  That would be quite a chess move by Thibs… I wish I could tell him this one.  I have plenty of ideas.

It feels great to win a big game like that.  Everybody in my building had to hear me shout… I was yelling when that shot when in.  My son started crying… I probably scared the crap out of him.  It was worth it though.  Yet, the sweetest thing remains, and that’s to eliminate Lebron and the Cavs…. finally… and continue on our mission.  This was a big step, but only a step…  but I’m going to make a prediction for Game 4.  Blowout!  I’ve been wrong before, but I just got a feeling.  Can’t wait until Sunday night… GO BULLS!

Awesome game, sweet ending! Cavs went to their clutch man at the end of the game, jr smith, who hit a huge trey…nice pass queen, we all know you didnt want to live with a missed shot yourself. Oh yeah, nice layup too…keep practicing queen, practice, practice, practice!
Drose had to feel awesome after that shot went in…what a moment it had to be live! Hope the Bulls hold serve sunday afternoon…put this cabs team on the brink!
Another shot at the queen, crying about noah’s trash talk going to far…WTF!?! Grow a set queen! You’re basically a football player playing basketball. You cry for fouls like a baby crys for the bottle. You look into the fans after plays and can only imagine the glares and taunting you do to players. To publically come out and say he went to far and was disrespectful!?! WOW. If he did, keep that to yourself queen…play basketball. But no, the whining and crying continues, even after the game. ACT LIKE A MAN, in my best Godfather voice! Somebody change this guy’s diaper and give him a bottle…maybe he baby will stop crying then! GO BULLS!!!

What a game! This just shows that LBJ can NOT carry a team without other stars! Who saw that post game interview where Irving was looking at Queen like…Dude shut the F up! Queen: “Put this one on me.” Yeah right, its on your young team and the fact that no one respects you. You should have listened to your fans in Cleveland and not left, then people would listen when speak. If Cleveland had any balls they would trade your ass to the D League. That would be nice payback for leaving!
