Speaking about birthdays, how about our great City of Chicago? Yes, March 4th was the day. How did you celebrate? Well, the Bulls celebrated by completing an impressive comeback in Sacramento; what a game!
Yes, I made it to midnight; can you believe it? Normally, I’d be long passed out by then, especially with the Bulls getting their asses kicked. I definitely would have faded away, but no… not on this night. I was up, watching the whole game; I’m glad I was. You know, I was looking at the Bulls ML in game… couldn’t pull the trigger; should have pulled that trigger. It’s so hard to bet on Bulls games; whatever side I choose, it usually is the wrong one when it comes to them. So, I chose just to enjoy it, with no money on it; I did enjoy it. How about Coby White? Setting a career high in points. That one move he put on Barnes, before he sped past him, and dunked it on his head. Demar Derozan… he looked like a young DeMar out there in the 4th quarter; he had that look in his eye, a lot different than the “I’m tired” look he’s had a lot of this year. He was absolutely zoned in. The Bulls came storming back from 22 down in the 2nd half to get the W.
They almost did it earlier this year against the Kings in Chicago. They did comeback, all the way, but then fell short at the end of the game. Of course, there’s the huge comeback and win the Kings pulled on us back in the day at the UC, the game I was in attendance for. That was a brutal one. Lots of memorable games between these two franchises who only meet twice per year. I just saw highlights of the game in Sacto where Noah got the boot; I remember it well. The refs were screwing him, and once he was ejected, he told them goodbye in the only way he could.. F you, F you, F you, you’re all right, and F you…. haha. That was one of my favorite Bulls teams.
This one remains super frustrating, although with the emergence of Coby, and let’s not forget about Ayo, they have a bit of promise looking ahead. Sure, don’t think they’ll get much past the play in game this year, but with a couple pieces in place, maybe we can take a leap next year? I’d sure like to think so. It’s been long enough… our current stay in NBA purgatory is getting old. The Bulls need to be back in their rightful spot, at the top of the East. One day, one day…
Next stop is Utah on Wednesday night. After this great win, and the way the Jazz have been playing, that should be a W right? Well, remember the Pistons game(s)… Although I can’t predict what Bulls team will show up from game to game, I do know I’ll continue to root them on. Will I be able to stay up late again this week? That’s about as unpredictable as this team… Go Bulls!
