The Bulls fell last night against the Milwaukee Bucks. If the playoffs started today, the Bulls would be facing this same Bucks team. Are you worried?
Let me first say that this is the first time the Bulls have lost to the Bucks in the past 10 games in Milwaukee. Enough said? In the past 5 years, the Bucks have only beaten the Bulls at the United Center 3 times; the last time being in 2013. So since Thibs has taken over, the Bulls hold a 16-4 record vs this Milwaukee team. You have to like those numbers.
Yet, in the 2nd season, the playoffs, the Bucks hold an 8-4 advantage over our Bulls. When is the last time they met in the playoffs? 1990 is your answer; the year before the dynasty began. The Bulls beat the Bucks 3-1 in that series. You have to go back to the 1985 playoffs to find when the Bucks last beat the Bulls in a playoff series. Yes, all the way back to Michael Jordan’s rookie season. The Bucks did beat the Bulls in that series 3-1, but the 1 win was a special one. The Bulls won because Michael Jordan hit his first playoff game winner; I didn’t even know that. The playoff “rivalry” started back in 1974, where the Bucks swept the Bulls 4-0. I don’t think any of these playoff series factor in at this point, but those are the numbers.

October 16, 1968 was their first meeting, that the Bulls won 89-84. It’s kind of amazing that they’ve only met 3 times in the playoffs in 45 years; will it be the 4th time this year? I’d be very happy if it was. I like some of the guys on this current Bucks team, including the Greek Freak, but all this would turn out to be is good experience for the Bucks, and a nice way for the Bulls to ease into the playoffs. Although if the Bulls took that attitude, last night could happen again. I think the Bulls played pretty well last night; the Bucks just wanted this one a little more. I’d be very surprised if the Bucks were able to duplicate this result 4 times in a playoff series.
Can you imagine if this team had Jabari Parker still playing this year? Yeah, that would make it a little tougher series. Yet, the Bulls are still waiting for their fallen Chicago star from Simeon High School to return from his latest injury. I’ll tell you what, he doesn’t learn. When asked if he’ll be back for the regular season, he said “who knows”. Derrick, Derrick, Derrick… I don’t really care about the media. As long as you’re on the same page with the Bulls front office and coaching staff, then I’m fine. But… throw the fans a bone Derrick. Give all those fans that support you a leg to stand on here. Tell us that you WILL be back, and you can’t wait. Show how anxious you are, show some emotion. Don’t just shrug off the valid question. Don’t go through the interview like a zombie. Don’t give the appearance that you don’t care. I know appearances can be deceiving, and I do believe that you really want to win deep down, but perceptions become reality. Derrick, I know you’re busy working on your 3rd injury in the past 3 years, and I know it’s gotta be tough, but come on man… It’s all about this year; let’s not take that for granted. Our chance to win is THIS year. YOUR chance to win is this year. Just get back on the damn court will you?
What are the odds that Derrick sees the court in the regular season? 10 percent? Is it destined for the Bulls and Bucks to meet in the playoffs, and THAT’S where Rose will make his return? That’s the best case first round playoff opponent then. They would be perfect for the Bulls and Rose to start their playoff run against. Because I think the Bucks chance to beat the Bulls is about as good as their record in the Bradley Center the past 10 games against us; 10 percent.

i think rose is just along for the ride. he’s getting rich doing light workouts, staying home while the team travels, sucking the bulls dry, and giving 2 shits about the fans or the team. you can tell by the way he handles himself during the interviews you mentioned. he doesn’t care, and the fans and team needs to face that fact. if and/or when he dies make his return, it will disrupt any chemistry the guys that are actually playing the games have developed.
