Welp, there’s goes that. Just when we think the Bulls are getting it… maybe not. Their 3 game winning streak went up in smoke after blowing a 21 point lead to the Indiana Pacers; yes, that’s not a typo. 21 point lead!!! Honestly, blowing leads of that magnitude happen a lot more frequently than you think; again, the Bulls are definitely not alone in this category. It doesn’t change the fact that this is frustrating as hell…
Zach Lavine… didn’t we just get done banging on him… again? Is he purposely doing dumb shit to get traded? Sometimes I think that. 4-14 from the field, 0-7 from three point land, 6 turnovers… He was the inbound guy on the initial play the Bulls drew up down 2 with 20 something seconds to go; the play was to get DD the ball. He didn’t get DD the ball… maybe a good decision? Maybe it would have been a bad pass? But as he was deciding that, Caruso broke wide open under the rim; Lavine didn’t see him. After the next inbounds pass, this time from Caruso, was tipped and stolen, the Pacers hit 2 free throws. Bulls came down, Lavine tried another crazy ass three pointer (which in this situation, what else can you do) and missed. How much longer do we need to wait to see if Lavine is THE guy? I’m a patient guy, but… BTW, I would take Lavine over Chris Paul right now, mostly because of age, so there’s one guy…
NBA teams blowing big leads… there has to be some sort of stat out there for that, but in my new world of Draft Kings, more closely watching NBA results, and in game bets, there are many, MANY games that swing from one direction to the other, sometimes extremely, just like this Bulls game. I’m just waiting to drop $10 on a +1200 ML in game, and hit it… it’ll happen. That in game stuff is really tempting though; took Dallas on Tuesday night just to win, and… the Wizards won, in Dallas. This type of stuff happens all the time, I’m telling you. Not sure what that means for the Bulls and/or if it makes you feel any better… It makes me feel a little better, if I’m being honest. At least it’s not only the Bulls throwing up stupid shots, playing lazy defense, losing focus, blowing big leads. But the Bulls are the only team I care about; that’s why it still hits hard, and no, I haven’t placed any bets on any Bulls games yet; I’ve thought about it, but… still keeping head separate from heart… don’t need that additional stress watching the Bulls… haha.
I wasn’t expecting them to sweep the next 3 games, but since they already lost 1, they’ll need to win the next 2 in Charlotte and Orlando to get that 2 out of 3 to satisfy my expectations for them. That it still a possibility, so… we’ll keep trying to be patient. Do you ever get tired of being patient? I guess that’s why it’s a virtue… Go Bulls!!!
