The Bears head to New York in Week 4 to take on the G-Men, and if you think that I’m going to tell you that the Bears will win that game, and move to 3-1 on the season, you must be, have to be, absolutely, 100% correct!
Papa Vegas has the line set at Giants -3, which with home field advantage, means a straight up coin flip; I don’t know about you, but I’m a heads guy all day long. The Giants have Saquon; this will be the biggest challenge for the Bears. Daniel Jones at QB? Yeah, I heard he was pretty elusive last week, running for his life back there. I saw one of their WRs Sterling Shepard, who happened to be on one of my fantasy teams, go out for the year last week with an ACL, when the turf jumped up and bit him. Who else they got? I know one of their other wideout Kedarious Toney, fantasy related as well, but not even sure he’s healthy. If we contain Barkley, who else is going to beat us?
Let’s talk about the Bears offense for a minute. It starts and ends with Fields; he needs to be better… everyone knows that. Some may have already given up on him… don’t count me in that group. It’s too early, and yeah, maybe guys nowadays don’t get extensive looks; if you don’t produce, and produce quickly, you may not be around long, but I’m choosing patience. He’s started 13 games, under 2 different coaches/offenses, with questionable weapons, and a “sus” OL most of the time. Again, not making excuses, just saying… unless you’re just chalking it up to another Bears failure at the position, never liked him from the get go, or maybe don’t like Ohio State, maybe we should keep hope alive for this kid. That’s me though, 100%. We keep waiting for a breakout game; could this possibly be it?
Although we talk about the lack of weapons on offense, our 2 RBs aren’t too shabby. Big fan of Montgomery, but he’s hurt. I’m a big fan of Herbert too. He’ll get his chance on Sunday; I can’t imagine Montgomery going. Hoping the injury isn’t as bad as suspected, but don’t think he’ll play this week… adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly. I expect big things from Khalil. Pair that up with a “mini” breakout game for Fields, and yeah…
Final Score Prediction: Bears 27 Giants 17
Ace in the Hole: Khalil Herbert 2 TDs
A classic noon start time this Sunday; love those. Appreciate the fact that our baseball game this weekend is at 830am on Sunday; plenty of time to get a W and get in front of the couch to watch the worst team in the NFL move to 3-1 on the season. Although maybe we stop at an apple fest for a bit first? Speaking about apples… How will you like 3-1? Bear Down!!!
