February 25, 2022: Double Hats

posted in: Blackhawks | 0

There have only been 2 other days the entire month of February when we could have talked about a Blackhawks win. After Friday night, make it three. That number three… it’s got a nice ring to it… three goals should be good enough to win a game for the Hawks. Three goals in a game by a single player is a hat trick. Two guys with a hat trick? How about that? Double Hats!!!

We’ve seen this from Patrick Kane before. Kane hasn’t had the greatest year. He missed the All Star team for the first time in forever. Yet, after his performance on Friday night at the UC against the Devils, 88 surpassed the 15 goal mark for the 15th consecutive season; that’s every year he’s been in the league for those keeping track. Pretty consistent stuff. Actually, he’s the only American born player to ever do this, per ESPN stats & info. Pretty cool stuff. How much left does Patrick have in the tank? Will he retire a Blackhawk? When it’s all said and done, will he be considered the best Blackhawk of all time? Is he already that? Nice to see Patrick with another nice achievement in what has been a down year for the most part for the boys.

I did say 2 hat tricks right? Yep, Brandon Hagel scored three of his own during this 8 goal outburst, the most goals scored all year by the Hawks. Shit, there’ve been weeks when they didn’t score this many. But Hagel, he actually has more goals than Kane on the year with 17, only trailing DeBrincat and his 29 goals on the year. I’ve heard his name tossed about in potential trade opportunities for the Hawks. With the season all but over, will the Hawks be moving folks? Should they? At 23 years old, the future certainly looks bright for Hagel. It would be nice to see him blossom, like DeBrincat has, in a Hawks sweater.

Today is my birthday and I’m taking this day in silence so as to set my new year intentions from a platform of stillness within. viagra online in india Vodafone has claimed that Brolly would charge a battery appalachianmagazine.com viagra price online of a smart device within underneath three hours by means of plugging into a USB port in the handle. Friday night was a much needed nice moment for the Blackhawks. Yeah, I know the Devils suck, but so do we, plus, any time you can get 2 points, it should be celebrated. To celebrate with 2 hat tricks?!?! I was just talking about hat tricks with someone I work with. What if I was wearing a brand new $40 hat… am I supposed to toss that on the ice? Should I pack a crappy hat in my pocket every time I go to a game from this point forward? I haven’t been lucky enough to witness one in person, but if I do… what will I do? What if I don’t have a hat? Lots of questions…

One question that I stopped asking, is will the Blackhawks make the playoffs this year. That doesn’t mean I’ll stop watching. I watched more on Friday night than I had in a while. I’ll be back at the UC in a little over a week. Still some hockey left to play… Go Hawks!
