The NFL season began on Thursday night. It’s time for a new feature.
Last year I made fantasy picks each week. I didn’t just pick the top guys.. No no no. I picked lower ranked guys that would outscore higher ranked guys. I started off decently, but finished horribly. It was worth a shot, but we will not be bringing it back for year 2. Please hold back the tears.
No, this year we go papa vegas on you. Yep, it’s time for some good old picks against the spread. I used to do this quite regularly. But those days are behind me. Wait, let me rephrase. Those days of wagering on these picks are behind me. Aside from the bets I place at the flamingo in Vegas, sports gambling has ceased.
That doesn’t mean I can’t still make picks. Yes, without money behind the picks, how truthful are they? Well, we’ll play for the record…for pride. Maybe somebody else can make money on my picks, or better yet, going against them.
So there is no set number of games I will do per week. I anticipate something close to 50 for the regular season. Sometimes I’ll look at the week and feel like picking them all. Sometimes I’ll have to search hard for a couple. Let’s just see how it goes.
Week one is usually pretty tough. Although I used to do good in the preseason, regular season was a different story. Usually I’d hit my stride week 3, but I do like a couple. Here we go:
Erectile discount viagra pharmacy Dysfunction, Premature Ejaculation, loss of Libido, loss of sexual interest and psychological conditions like stress, depression may be linked to other disorders being connected to impotency such as lack of interjection and also absence of interest in sex but they felt less masculine and described about much lower sexual activity, capability and enjoyment. At Chicago +7 Green Bay
Yeah, yeah I know…heart bet. But hear me out. I’ll save some of this for my Bears write up, but here’s a little. I like to go against the grain. I like those games where it seems impossible for one team to cover the spread. How many people in Chicago actually think the Bears have a shot in this one? Ok, some of us do, but much, much more people are on the Pack and rightfully so. Cutler 1-11 vs the cheese. Rodgers the opposite vs us. The one sided rivalry as of late. I can go on, but we are home, this is the fox regime’s first game, we really don’t know what to expect, and we’re getting a TD. Take the points. Bears will cover.
At St Louis +4 Seattle
See a pattern. Seattle coming off a choke on the biggest stage, like the pack choke on the 2nd biggest. Oh by the way, they play each other next week. The Rams played the Seabirds tough when they were mighty. Another home underdog…I generally like those too, as long as they’re not too popular a pick. Not sure people are loading up on the lambs, but I got them. 2nd home underdog in a row. Take those points.
That’s it for now. Taking the points against the top two teams in the NFC to start the season is not for the faint of heart, but there’s no money involved…or is there??? Nope, just pride and the start of my new feature. Good luck. Hope everybody makes a little dough this year.
